    It looks like your warp yarn is very thin for the size reed you are using. A size 10 may be better for what you are warping with. I am a beginner on the Cricket loom also. Thanks for taking the time to share.

    Hi...you said you are not a primary weaver. I'm a knitter and want to play with weaving. I would love to make dish towels and scarves. Will a 16" be a manageable choice to begin my weaving experience? Looking at Ashford 16" standard at $ 210.

    I think 16" is a too small for dish towels. Your finished work is going to be smaller. I have a 20" rigid heddle and I would say thats still a bit too small but doable for dishcloth. 24-30 inches would be better.
