@@clouds6799 I think it depends on a few factors but for me the MAIN reason I stream on twitch rather than youtube is because of a few key missing features from youtube! other than things like not having gifted memberships or channel point redeems, I also really cannot tolerate the way edited content gets all lumped together with stream recordings, it makes for a super messy and un-browseable videos list on the channel page, and as someone who makes edited content just as much as stream content, it's an unforgiveable issue with an easy fix and I don't understand why they still havn't fixed it 😭 if none of those are issues for you though, there's not really a big difference IMO! I just like to make sure my content is well-categorized, and also the missing community features are annoying LOL
Ying : want music ? , I got you ! Wanna be a streamer ? I'll help you ! Wanna learn to spell Chinese ? You got it ! Wanna just a good fun video to pass your bad day ? I'm here for you :) Ying , you are special ! At least to me , keep the amazing content , you have my support :)
As of now, I'm no streamer, but this was really informative for not just streams but general knowledge in case I ever wanted to do something similar, or even if I tried streaming in the future!
First of all, those B-roll shots are REALLY good! Next, thank you for making it as simple as you could. Across all 17+ videos that I've watched so far on the same topic, yours is the only one I didn't have to skip sections nor have had to fast forward for stuff. No fluff on your timestamps too. Your decision to chunk up topics for another video is a good call. Lastly, am considering now the sponsored laptop you have just because of that one B-roll shot of you laying flat on the floor because I do that A LOT as well HAHAHHAHAHA THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU YING

you've been STUDYING omg, I'm glad this video was helpful and straightforward for you!!!
I've been streaming for almost 2 years now but I still ALWAYS struggle with the setup. Sources disconnect, windows resize, games freeze... There is not a single stream that works out smoothly but I think the main tip here is taking about 15 minutes before the stream to prep and test. This is so simple but essential! Honestly that's a step I've overlooked and is going to save me much hassle moving forward. Thank you so so much for this video, it's lovely and super clear. You're the best! 💕🌸
The amount of information in this video is amazing. Thank you for putting everything together! Really enjoyed this “crashed course”.❤
i’ve been thinking about streaming soon and this video was a real eye opener ! i’ve had so many questions about how streamers operate their streams and your video really simplified things, especially for new/low budget streamers. thank you so much !
I've been having a hard time figuring things out what other streamers do and you explained and taught it flawlessly and so on-point! Thank you for this!
this is so helpful! I’ve been curious to start streaming and content creation so you uploaded this at such a great timing c:

Thanks for this! I've been streaming for a while now and I felt bad that my layouts and sound notifications never worked! You get right to the point and organize the information so well, thank you!
Absolutely helpful, going to be starting up here within the next few months. Watching your other videos before any other questions come up. Keep em coming!
Thank you for the video!!! I've been suffering with OBS recently and this is just what I needed
You are a lifesaver. Straightforward and to the point. Detailed, but not overwhelming. Amazing. This is exactly what I needed
This was so helpful! As someone completely new to the idea of steaming, setting this kind of thing up is so daunting but your video, as always(!), was so digestible and not scary *v*
thank you so much for this video, Ying!! I remember just how overwhelming it felt to be faced with SO MANY features and set ups when I wanted to try streaming for the first time. so I think it was truly a perfect idea how you decided to make this beginner friendly walk-through, it's so comprehensive and at the same time understanding it doesn't require any prior knowledge of streaming set ups. I appreciate it a lot and I'm sure many other beginners trying to familiarise themselves with the ways of streaming will do as well. amazing job for real!!
Trying to learn how to start streaming, and I really appreciate how straightforward your explanation of all of this is ❤
Thanks Ying for this! It helped me answer quite a few questions I had for awhile now. I look forward to the future how-to videos on this!
Ngl, I’ve been down the streaming rabbit hole and this is a REALLY good and informative video. Not crazy in depth but enough that I know what questions to ask.
Thanks so much for making this video! Went in enough depth for me to get started after a few hours of actually playing with things. Thanks again!
this timing couldn't be more perfect, yesterday I streamed on twitch for the very first time, Thanks Ying !
I WAS LITERALLY LOOKING FOR VIDEOS LIKE THESE! I am a big fan of your stream design Ying! 🤩 Its just so pretty! (My favourite part:'Welcome to the flock!')
im so glad the algorithm recommended me this vid, i've been working on setting up to begin as a streamer off and on for a couple weeks now and have been flying pretty much blind, but you've put everything into such a neat and well explained single point of reference omg. thank you for making this video!!
I love the way you really keep it simple...I enjoyed your explanations.
OOOOO this is so exciting!! hella informative :'00 especially with how engaging you were with the different sections; the way you delivered the information was really upbeat and easy to digest!! both of which are hella rare when it comes to more niche "basics of" videos. definitely going to save this video for when i can upgrade my set up :]
Thank you for this Ying! I should also share this to my friends who needs guidance on streaming.
omg thank you so much for this video! i've been thinking of doing streaming but i literally have no knowledge on it. will definitely follow the series!

dude THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! I don’t plan on streaming anytime soon, but I’ve been meaning to grasp the basics of OBS 😭😭
I have no intention of ever streaming myself but I was curious. This was a really great presentation on basic stuff and I found it very interesting.
Really enjoyed this video. I've been streaming for a while, but you voice and pace is soo well delivered. Thanks for sharing. Inspired to continue creating content and some day I'll grow the channel as successful as yours.

I HAVEN'T WATCHED THIS YET BUT I'M SO HAPPY YOU MADE A VIDEO ABOUT THIS AAAA ❤❤❤
This is so interesting. I don’t stream but my dad does casually (he’s a DJ) and he also works in AV. He recently had to figure out how to do overlays by himself for an event he was working so this video would’ve been perfect… if only it was released sooner lol. I can’t imagine the amount of people this will help!
This was extremely informative--thank you!!
