    Great summary, thanks! Even with some experience it's good to review the basics. I'm slowly scaling up selling mostly things I own and stuff I picked up to flip but never did. It really is better just to list one item per day (up to 5 if you can be consistent) rather than 5-10 one day and then days off with 0. eBay wants to reward consistent, reliable sellers and regular listing is a metric they look at. Despite the small my sub-20 listings so far, I've been selling 1-2 items a week for a month. Factors in my favor include selling desirable items, providing 10+ good photos (for expensive items), providing a description (amazing how many sellers don't even bother, use AI at least and quickly proofread it) and being willing to tweak the price to encourage sales.

    Regarding selling limit for a new eBay account, can you bypass that if you go straight to signing up for a store? And if not, will it allow you to bank a ton of drafts for later?

  • @MillennialProfit

    No the store doesn’t affect your selling limit, it only increases your free listings. Has nothing to do with seller limit

    Hello Adam . Please tell me if, for example, I want to start selling only new sneakers, buying them in various stores, such as Burlington, Ross, etc. at discounts, is it more profitable than buying used goods? In general, is it worth starting sales with new products? Does selling only new products bring more results and income than used ones, considering that I am still just a newbie on eBay. Thank you.

  • @MillennialProfit

    @MillennialProfit

    6 ай бұрын

    As I mentioned in the video I would start with used goods because you can build up much more inventory for cheaper with way less risk. Newer items are like the stock market and fluctuate up and down so it only takes one Ross item to tank on you to mess with your profits. That’s why learning the markets with used goods is the way to start

    @@MillennialProfit Adam thank you very much for your answer. Please also tell me, before I start putting up my listings, do I need to make some purchases on eBay myself, is this important to start my sales? And is it worth using the Promoted listings option so that the product is promoted a little right away, or at the beginning of the journey not to take any such measures, just put up listings on a daily basis?

  • @MillennialProfit

    @MillennialProfit

    6 ай бұрын

    No you don’t need to buy anything. And just start listing daily if you can. As for promoted listings, If an item has a lot of competition I’ll promote at 2%. If it has a fast sell through or not much competition I don’t promote

    I'm recently unemployed and gonna start selling stuff. Prob have about 100 listings worth of stuff in my house. Idk how well they'd sell tho. Do we really need the polymer bags (I think that's what you mentioned) our first time? Seems like a later business supply investment. I watched another video about a guy selling, he used free cardboard boxes and bubble wrap. Some of his boxes he had to customize to fit the product.

  • @MillennialProfit

    Save all the packaging you get in the mail. I reuse boxes and polys all the time. Also polys are super cheap that’s why I recommend and use them

    Hi Adam! Very informative video! I am a new subscriber!!! Quick question. I have $3k to start buying small RA items at thrift stores, etc. My goal is to NET $15,000 a year, as a side hustle. I have plenty of time to devote to finding merchandise to sell. Do you think this is a realistic goal? Thankyou!!! 😀😀😀

  • @MillennialProfit

    @MillennialProfit

    5 ай бұрын

    That completely depends on what you source. I try to go no lower than 50% margins but with bins/thrift stuff you’re going to be looking at 300-400% if you’re sourcing the right stuff. That’s a very open ended question with a lot of variables
