Nice! It's good to see this being demonstrated on the sorts of big wheels many people are using these days. It makes the balancing a bit harder than with 4x80mm! Do you think there is any value in recommending beginners start with smaller wheels?

James Horne hi... many people start on big wheels straight and it work too but smaller wheels can help for total beginner for sure. Anyway starting on big wheels is good too and people mainly buy new skate with big wheels now ... and or when they switch the ankle stability change a bit again. Thanks for the comment

Do you think that practicing with skate on one foot and shoe on another can be beneficial? It is easier to prevent fall when you loose balance.

Hi Ivan, I never tried this but I see it as a good little tool to feel the roll on one leg a bit. Every little exercice can be a good tool for some beginners. So here in your example may be it can work.

@@ThePascalbriand I saw this exercise from another youtuber and tried it for three sessions - for about 15 minutes on each leg. It seems to work, but it is little bit hard to get enough speed by pushing with the shoe leg, because it's shorter and on every push I tend to go on inside edge and loose balance. Now I'm trying another exercise that I saw on Asha's channel. After several strides you put your non balancing foot in front on it's back wheel. This seems easier. I have about 14 hours of skating since I started and found that balancing on one foot is absolutely essential for T stop. I'm still far from even trying to stop. 15 years ago I was ice skating for a few months and it took me about the same time to start power stops. It was much easier :)

@@ivanilarionov1893 for sure learning balance on one leg is the key to progress. Doing one leg slalom and one leg drills is really the main focus.... with this 3 step: stay on one leg... do little slalom on one leg... do little jumps on one leg. When you can reach that... many things will get easier.

Yes heavy can still be well balanced and it can be also easy sometimes to stay on one leg. It really about taking time to practice skill in one leg. Challenge yourself with some basics exercices. Try to be your record of distance on one leg... pascal
