Wrong information here. The minimum capital for open a company in Vietnam for a foreigner is 3 billions Vietnam dong (a little bit more than 120 000 USD) !!!

3 billions Vietnam dong is to be eligible for DT4 (visa). Nevertheless, there is NO minimum to "open a company" as you write.

The Vietnamese authorities seem are not agree with you. You can ask to the investment department in Le Thanh Tong or the business registration office in district 3. @@MoveToAsia

You confuse eligibility for DT4 and minimum capital, that's two different things.

@@MoveToAsia I don't talk about DT4 visa or any kind of visa. I talk about the minimum capital for open a company for a foreigner according to the investment department.

@@FlexiSite then you should ask your current legal partner to double check this information. Or ask another law firm to advise you regarding this matter. The last 100%-foreign owned company that we registered last month had around 30k usd as capital. For most of the business sectors, no minimum capital is required.
