About Brent:
Brent’s love of teaching matches his love of drawing. He believes that learning to draw can transform the lives of students, enhancing how they think and how they see the world.
Before creating his bestselling, award winning online drawing series The Art & Science of Drawing, he spent more than 20 years working with students in face to face classes through art studios, schools and museums. He spent these ways cultivating the most effective ways to teach drawing. To date, The Art & Science of Drawing series has had more than half a million enrollments from students in more than 180 countries.
Drawing is at the root of all of Brent’s creative work. He has studied numerous forms of drawing including architectural drafting, anatomical drawing and even more experimental forms of drawing explorations. He divides his work between traditional drawing, with a focus on the figure and contemporary creative explorations.

I just want to thank you for all that you do. I've been trying to learn figure drawing for a while, and gesture drawing has hindered my journey so much, I've quit so many times. I'm currently taking your Gesture course, and for the first time, i actually feel like I'm learning. I've watched so many videos and even took a few courses, and i just couldn't grasp how to go about doing gestures. The way you explain things, i finally understand, and i actually look forward to studying gesture drawing now. again thank you for all you've done. Your basics course was really wonderful also 😊. Thank you.

THANK YOU for stating that the initial lines and shapes aren't exactly accurate, and they need refining. I was getting stuck drawing gesture lines and then pigeon holing myself into using that as a "finished" line. I was making too many changes late in the drawing. Great tips Brent! #TeamBrent 😂

It's really an informative and instructive video! I've been drawing gestures for a few months, but currently I'm really struggling with some more static poses. I can't find a way to exaggerate or dynamize them or even capture the overall action. I think your examples are perfect for showing how to do that, but how do I apply them when it comes to a less motional pose? I'm desperate for advice!🤪
Great Teacher Thank You!!!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, it's really helpful ❤

Brent's Udemy babies! It's finally happening!!! I'm really excited for this new update. I started learning drawing proper with your courses on Udemy. I had been waiting for more activity on your Instagram and KZread. I would love to see you do figure drawing on digital media. This has been a big question for me.
Hello Brent! I am extremely happy to see that you got Active on your KZread channel again! A little bit more then a year ago I was lucky enough to basically kickstart my drawing passion with your udemy courses -drawing basics and the figure drawing courses With my current knowledge and skills required through about a dozent of classic and modern drawing books and the same amount of online courses from different sources I just wanted to tell you how i even more appreciate your teaching style and the true and the solid and honest approaches of your courses! I highly comsidere buying your drawing book as well but do you think it will add substantial information for a person how went through your basica course a couple of times? Also just wanted to let you know that a drawing out of imagination courses from you would be amazing! I am currently struggling with that and in the end that was what i was actually aiming for so if you would be able to provide a structured approach on how to gather that skill it would be amazing! All the Best! Greetings from Austria

censor? The people who learn drawing and practicing would not mind the human body(!)

People learning figure drawing do need to get comfortable with the human body, which is why all of my figure drawing courses have uncensored photos. KZread videos are different because it is a different audience.

@@evolveyourart I know, but it is still weird. I really admire your work and learn from it. But when I see a woman chest etc, I see only the shape and shadows when I am drawing. I think that, it supposed to be like this. So when I dont see the whole composition, then I felt to leave that comment.
ok, everything was interesting but, come on bro i literally can't hear your voice . good job keep it up
Those black boxes are more distracting than what they are hiding. Better to have a woman in a swimsuit. Nevertheless I appreciate your lessons, and am a follower on skillshare.
