ONE THING🤔that I can't stress enough & I need to repeat/elaborate what this smart female had mentioned early in this vid, and that is "THE KEYWORDS" that you use. I did not realize this simple "Rule" for a few years that just like Google- Etsy & Ebay etc, are all SEARCH ENGINE BASED! Meaning... Those first five words of your title page of what you are selling?🤔 Is very Crucial to your Business! You want people to land on & see your item(s)- So Just Be smart/Sensible & think about what Words those certain customers are going to type in to find that product that he/she is looking for.. and your ad will pop up! Easy Peasy. I am only sharing this because I honestly wish someone had told me about this back in 2016. Also, do yourself a favour & After you are comfortable with your new (or existing) store-purchase a keywords app as mentioned- most are reasonably Cheap & it's one of the best moves I made to help my businesses thrive...they are amazing! Hello. I'm a new seller on Etsy I sell digital fan art I have a few questions I really need to know ok I have about forty one listing in my shop . Now I just noticed this a few weeks ago all my listings are on auto renew so on June 5 they changed seven of my listing to Oct now I keep getting the run around. I want to know do they charge you when they repost a listing like I have seven for now do they charge you then or they charge you when they buy a item. Also I read that when it's sold the buyer buys portions of your quality I always put down 999 so does that still happens even when you selling digital fan art. I really wanna know these questions because I'm new here and I don't wanna keep spending money when I lose money at the same time

Good video. I started an Etsy shop several years ago. Finally want to add a second product. You mentioned every single check off box that Etsy requires. Question: The customer is charged sales tax. Does Etsy pay the state sales tax that is charged to the customer? Or is the shop seller required to mail sales tax payments to every different state? Thanks.

Etsy collects and pays sales tax. Sellers do not have to handle it. That’s honestly one of the benefits of selling on Etsy!

Hi, Theres so many hoops to jump. Business name, theres a name i have in mind that reflects me and my future store. Ive searched my chosen name on the Business Australia website to make sure that name isnt already taken and its not which is good. However, do i need to pay monthly to register my business name to start an etsy shop? I want to make things i was to make an etsy page and maje an email amd make it wonderful but - am i allowed to make an etsy shop with my chosen store name that i have not Registered with NSW or have an ABN? Im scared if i register it and everything that ill be locked in paying monthly for my business name yet not even getting any sales Do i need to open a New bank account in order to sell handmade items? Would you create a Facebook page to sell your items and then give your potential customers your bsb and account number or do u open new bank and give them those details so they cant steal your bank account details or do you leave a link to your etsy store so they have to make the purchase through there? Soo many things my head is swirling

You can skip that part but you should have an idea of what you’re going to sell before starting. There is very little point to opening the shop if you don’t have a product ready to sell.

It should accept that. Maybe someone else can chime in with a solution if they went through this problem or you may have to reach out to Etsy customer support. They have a chat feature. help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?segment=selling

Changing that would require you contacting Etsy.

I keep receiving an error when trying to save and continue at "Stock your shop" , can someone help? Error "Hm, we’re having trouble saving your changes. Try again, and if this keeps happening contact Etsy Support."

It’s something they implemented after I made this video but it’s also not for every new shop. They have their own criteria for who they charge. I’d be curious to know where you are located!

I have a problem, cuz etsy wants 13euros for the opening shop; but nobody else on the internet must do that soo i, ehm i don't want to.. How to avoid that?

Unfortunately that is a new fee that Etsy is putting on some shops. I think it’s mainly for certain shops in counties outside the US.

They started implementing this fee after I made this video at the beginning of the year. It’s also not for all accounts just some as Etsy decides based on certain factors. Unfortunately you have to pay it or can’t open a shop.

I'm not in the US and I'm having trouble suspend my account when following the instructions. Can you help me?
