Love it this is so helpful you are even better than those nonprofit organizations that I have been seeking help for about 6months now and I’m still stuck. It’s almost like they are there to get grants from the government only and do not deliver. Ginny, I seek help from score, rise and they not once mentioned CaGold. Thank you so much for this video. Have all three required steps plus the EIN, however I also filed for an SEIN. I am calling the CA Taxpayer Assistance Center tomorrow to see if I need this or if I can cancel it. I have no oneelse working for my sole proprietor other than myself.

Great video! Thank you!! So when do you HAVE to use your Home address? I will be a home/mobile business and have been confused about this matter. I do already have a Virtual address, physical address for a registered agent but I just am unsure when I must use home address? To add- on a FBN Statement form....First section asks- person doing business as- i would enter Name of Business. Second section asks- Street address (no po box, postal facility or PMB) - would it be ok to enter the anytime mailbox address here? I can get a physical address with this company. Another question- Am I the registrant IF I am a sole proprietor? Do I put my name as the Registrant ? When it asks for - Address of Registrant- (must I use home address here?) Could I use the address of the mailbox service company that provides a physical address as the Registrant Address? Thanks! Just trying to not have my home address out there as much as possible.

When I go on CalGold and enter in Alameda County- San Leandro, the page I'm taken to that shows all of the permits needed, I see all of these permits that seem like the wouldn't apply to my in-home e-commerce hair care business like Building and Construction permit. Do I need every single one of the permits listed there?

For city - specific questions on requirements you'll need to contact your city directly. Each city has different zoning and other requirements for in-home businesses - some have no requirements while others are more strict. If something is unclear and seems like it doesn't apply to you, it is always best to get confirmation from your city
