So I’m doing a audio podcast with two other people and I was wondering if do we all have to hit the record button on our software or just one person?

Maybe I’m being too meticulous but I have a question: What’s the difference between a video podcast and a long form interview style video or even just a normal livestream? Is it just the edits or what exactly?

Once you put your podcast on Spotify all subsequent episodes will show up there automatically. We have a full dashboard of directories in Buzzsprout, most of them only take a few minutes, so we recommend just working through them as you have time. Best of luck!

Hello Buzzsprout team! Thanks for the great content! I just bought the Samsung Q2U and did some testing on Audacity. Unfortunately, it seems that I have some desynchronization issue when I record (vs working well with my MacBook internal mic) .. and I don't know what could be the cause? Should I buy the Scarlett 2i2 ? Thanks !

Hmm... Try plugging your headphones directly into the Q2U so you don't hear the delay from Audacity while you're recording. You shouldn't need the 2i2 if you're just recording solo

Hey thanks Rose, that means a lot! We try our best, our goal is to help you succeed in your podcasting journey. The camera we use is the Canon M50 with the 22mm prime lens (that lens is brighter and better than the stock 15-45mm lens). Hope that helps!

The easiest way to get started is to set up your smart phone on a tripod and record the video that way. You can then take the audio from your microphones and sync it up to the video in software like Movavi or iMovie. Hey guys! If you use the two mics setup will the Samson Q2U require a preamp using the Scarlett 2i2 or it will have enough gain? What about the background noice, it will be acceptable?

The Q2Us wouldn't require a preamp so the 2i2 should be perfect. It's a great mic so the background noise should be greatly reduced.

What about when using a Mac 2019 or newer that has no ports for aux or usb? Will it recognize the audio input from the mic via the adapter cord? Or is there a different mic suggested for the newer Macs?

You’re gonna need to get connectors so you can plug in a usb or other things. I don’t think the pieces are too expensive.

The Q2U comes with a USB-A cable, but still works with an adaptor to to USB-C. You won't notice any quality drop with the adaptor.

Is it okay to record on my field recorder Tascam DR-40? i can plug in 2 mics and with a headphone splitter 2 headphone sets..... just cuz i have it and want to use it. I also thought it would be more compact set up if i m going out for an interview so i dont have to bring my laptop. what do you think?

Hi! Thank you for the amazing tips, but I have one question. I would like to start an interview podcast with a couple of solo episodes here and there, but my guests (high school students and relatives) will not have a proper podcast setup and it is likely that they will not be able to come over to my place to record. What should I do? should I buy the interview setup or the solo setup? And how can they get the best audio possible through just a laptop/phone, and what's the easiest way to transport their audio file to my laptop? We filmed this video instead of doing four smaller videos like we normally do. It was close to a full week of filming, but over 3 weeks when you include the script and editing.
