Thanks Muhammad, I am glad you like the video. A patent medicine shop licence is not transferable. It cannot be upgraded. The Pharmacists council of Nigeria treats both licences separately.

Most accredited universities will give you a good Pharmacy degree. You can start by checking the foremost Federal Universities in Nigeria

The Pharmaceutical Council, together with NAPPMED, provides training for Patent Medicine Vendors from time to time, but the best training you can have is the one that exposes you to real work experience in the Pharmacy or Chemist shop

Please what if chemist union refuse to approve the location what should I do ? Because some are sentiment

Work with them to find the best location, I understand that such issue and sentiments may arise, but they are also working to ensure that each vendor in their area meets the requirements of the Pharmaceutical Council

Find other Patent Medicine Vendors in your area and tell them you want to join the Association. You may also go to Pharmacist Council Office to get their contact details for your Zone in Lagos.

Pls I paid for registration and licensing through our NAPPMED chairman , after sometime he gave me two remita receipt and told me that's all that my certificate will soon out, pls is that right?

Yes. NAPPMED serves as intermediary between Patent Medicine dealers and PCN. They will assist you with the process and even your training. Please continue to follow up with the chairman and members at every stage of setting up your shop.

Yes Rose, NAPPMED is the Union or Association. They team up with the Council to coordinate and regulate the activities of the Vendors. They also help upcoming Vendors to meet the requirements of the Council.

@@peterillah7944 a registered pharmacist has a license from PCN. He might not need to submit his license when writing a reference letter for a Patent medicine vendor. But he might mention his registration status in the letter. Overall, it's best to visit the PCN office in your state to find out more.
