I wanna do free-range poultry farming too! it seems to be the best and healthier way to raise chickens, I don't like seeing chickens or any type of birds locked up.

I admire your explanation, then get inspired, you are a good teacher. Keep it up from italy. Sorry for intruding. Instead of buying new drinkers, she can bow a hole with a very hot sharp object like nail or a bicycle spoke at the center to avoid future cracking, then put a washer under, you can pass a rope or iron cloth hanger and attach it to a post or a branch

From my experience, keep one breed which you know its attributes. You know how it grows, disease problems and you can easily manage and sell timely. Some breeds may grow fast and some slow, meaning they are costly to keep...slow feed conversion etc. If its many breeds at onces then they must have almost similar attributes for easy management.

Doctor, respectfully: You are wrong about the pneumonia and cold floors part. The task of the wood chips is to keep the floor dry, and prevent chicken feet and feathers from long contact with humid ground.*not* insulation. They are as well ideal for this purpose because they biodegrade nicely and help dry up chicken poop. Chicken in 254 have no need for anti-cold insulation-even in Mt Kenya-as long as they are sheltered from direct wind and rain and fed well.
