How to Start a Craftsman WC210 2-Cycle Gas Trimmer
If you bought a Craftsman WC210 2-cycle gas trimmer, and you either couldn’t get it started (even though you might have read the manual) or you had trouble getting it started, this video may help. The instructions on the trimmer itself didn’t help us much, so we hope this video helps you.

I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use kzread.infoUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.

thank you for your video, I was about ready to throw my weed eater through the window lol , 20 minutes trying , doing it all wrong lol
My 10 year old Craftsman started on the 5th pull after sitting all winter in the cold garage. Guess I'll keep it.

I hope that I get mine's to start.
I just got a new one of these, is the cast aluminum angled gear shaft that connects to the trimmer head supposed to make a loud-ish wining noise?
The instructions on the breather cover does not say push the killswitch. That is for stopping the engine while it is running. My question is, this unit has an easy start or jump start feature. Why pull a starter rope when you can buy and electric start adapter for your cordless drill at Lowes for 10 bucks ?
@JenniferCourtemanche

The electric starter switch didn’t work when installed.
I might be a noob, but, what does pulling the starter cord with the switch off do? Does it un flood it or something? I've never seen that trick before. Id like to try id but its raining.

I believe it just gets the gas through the engine so it easier to start up. I have one of these that is slightly different but it’s still the same startup, and I think the directions they give are damn useless, and confusing. I found prime it on 1, switch to 2, hold throttle in and pull the cord, it starts right away. Let it warm up a little then just go right to 3.
@Melchizadeckk

@@jakeschaffer1431 What issues? I have the same one. First off ethenol free gas if your mixing the oil or the pre-mixed ethenol free gas. Small engines including lawn mowers love ethenol free gas. In the video he seemed to have a much harder time starting it than I do. I pump the primer 10 - 12 times. Give it about three or four pulls in the first position on the carborator until you hear it want to start. Move the switch to the second position. It starts on the second pull every time. Once it warms up I move the carborator lever to the third position. You only have to start it like this when its cold. When you've been using it you just have to pull the cord and it starts right up.

On page 19 of the owners manual. STARTING AND STOPPING...There is no need to turn the unit on. The On/Off switch is in the ON ( | ) position at all times. So you DO NOT need to hold the red button in the OFF position.

Thats the wrong way to start one. Having it layed down flat was one right thing you did. You only primed it 7 times and not ten because the first three times you pushed the primer bulb it made the whistling sound because it hadnt had time to pump the gasoline into the bulb. Next thing you did wrong was squeezing the trigger to crank it, which means your spark plug is fouled and needs to be replaced. I have 2 trimmers that are ryobi 25 cc and even after 7 years I never had to squeeze the trigger while cranking.
@JenniferCourtemanche

Well, thanks for your unsolicited criticism. This was exactly how we had to star this piece of trash. And you assumed that we hadn’t changed the spark plug. Assume makes an ASS out of U and ME. Congratulations on your two trimmers in seven years that you didn’t have to squeeze the trigger while cranking. This was not our experience. We ditched this for a battery-powered model that hasn’t failed us yet.
