If I don't already have a storefront, is it ok to use my postal address when filling out the form for my LLC?

Hey so I have a question…. I’ve been in the hair store business for some years now and I have been pushed and advised that I start my own business plan on opening up my own hair store since I’m so great at what I do working for others. One question that I do have is since I was getting paid under the table does that mean the store I was working for does not pay city taxes? And if so how are they getting away w. Not paying taxes? Is that illegal?

Hey so before I get my business license should I lease a loft first then apply? and is it best for me to use my business address or a postal address?

What bout insurance for the store? I just bought a beauty supply but I can’t find good insurance

What address would you use to file your business name & EIN if you don't have a brick & mortar business yet? Could you use your home address or a po box?

When do I need to have an actual place?

When applying with your secretary of state for your llc, do you use your residential address for all info regarding your address?

Great question! They were difficult to find. They didn’t come up in my initial research. I found out about them a lot later and by that time I had already begun working on so many things. And the reason I’m doing what I’m doing now is because people should be able to get all of this information for free. 😃

No. Not necessarily. Sorry for the confusion. You can register with the Secretary of State and the IRS without starting on getting a building, but you definitely won’t be able to get a business license for a physical store without signing a lease. I will release a video on leasing soon! 😃

When we opened a barbershop in Georgia once we submitted our information for a LLC I wasn't expecting how much time it would take for Secretary of State to process the LLC. Also, if they need more information from you that'll take more time as well because that time starts over again once you submit that information to process the same application for LLC. Also, it depends on your state you can pay extra to expedite the process. This has been my experience in state of Georgia.
