How to Stand When Others Fall - Jude 20-23 - Skip Heitzig

If you have ever tried to walk straight while aboard a ship being tossed by the ocean’s waves, you know how hard that is. The motion around you challenges the strength and the stability within you. If the New Testament repeatedly warns against falling away (see Matthew 13:1-9, 24-30; 1 John 2:18-19), if the apostles predicted that many would “depart from the faith” (1 Timothy 4:1; see also 2 Thessalonians 2:3; 2 Timothy 3:1-14), what are we to do? Jude gives his audience a five-fold corrective for when people around you (even in the church) seem to be dropping like flies, carried by the current of this world.
This teaching is from the series Fight for the House with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Church.

Excellent lesson i wished more pastors taught their congregations in this manner there would be less crime and more importantly, more followers. Parents would have the necessary tools needed to teach their children

There's a painting of a boat in a storm, with some men drowning who fell out, and some men reaching for them. A little boy asked his dad, "Dad, are those men in the boat saving those guys or are they shaking hands with them?" The Church, in these Last Days, are shaking hands with sinners, instead of pulling them out of the fire!

You really made me think about how many pastor's that are truly grounded and will lead this younger generation...I cany think of but one young man in his thirties that just got ordained to be a pastor and is on fire for the Lord.. His wife passed away suddenly in August and Satan has tried but will not be able to stop this man of God.. I ask that you pray for J.White and his two young boy's that God will protect them from people's hurtful ways that may distract them...from becoming all that God can use them for....

Ezekiel 3:17-19 [17]“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me: [18]When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. [19]Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.

Is the 4th commandment of lesser importance than the others. Let us Teach it to others; after all we are trying to please God not ourselves. Aren't we giving in to non beliveres when we do not teach the whole Truth.

Aren't you selling as much glamour as you have, in your church? Do you have any idols in your life Luke a big bank roll, big house, expensive cars. Did Jesus sell out to Satan for wealthy, ego or freshly desires but you have not done that or doing it today, your saved, your in control, a clear mind you're saved, right? Man oh man, are you for real? You confuse your sins and repent, you're not in control God is you don't just build up you first must repent then give God the reins of your life, not "just build up" your not in control . As Pastor Chuck Smith taught use either God's in control of your life or Satan is and it all starts with the only real control you have and that is to choose whon you'll follow. Might have been before your time not mine. You call yourself a pastor but of what. 99% , maybe less, truths but you went to college, I image and you appeared to be educated in public speaking but this is a fight between God and Satan for folks salvation or everything they thought was done in God's Will and not burnt up at judgement. Did you say you were into music at one time, is it time to go back? Were you really ever called to be a pastor or doing this in your own will and God knows who's power? I'm not a smart guy so if I can see it smarter, solid believers can. 💡777🎸

I think you're confusing the love of money and having wealth as the same Sin? Its okay to have wealth as long as you dont make money the idol of your life. Are you thankful to God for what God has given you? Remember to count your blessings :) We should remember to stay Humble and be compassion for another. If you disagree with someone, its best to pray for them than be contentious

Being critical of a brother on a public forum means you haven’t followed church discipline. Does that not make you just as much a sinner? I have always learnt that pointing a finger at another, means I have three pointing back at myself. You should consider that
