A Renner New Testament is much desired. I desire a verse by verse by Rick Renner. I have learned a lot from good teachers, but never as much as at the feet of Mr. Renner. Praise God, bless this man, his family, his friends, his church!

Standing on the promises of Christ my King Through eternal ages, let his praises ring Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing Standing on the promises of God Standing, standing, standing on the promises of God, my Saviour Standing, standing, I'm standing on the promises of God Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me I once was lost but now I'm found, was blind but now I see It was grace that taught my heart to fear and grace my fears relieved How precious did that grace appear the hour I first believed When we've been there, 10, 000 years bright shining as the sun We've no less days to sing God's praise than when we'd first begun Source: Musixmatch Songwriters: Duncan Craig Terrell / Neville Aaron Joseph

Glorious things of thee are spoken Zion, city of our God He, whose word cannot be broken Formed thee for His own abode On the Rock of Ages founded What can shake thy sure repose? With salvation's walls surrounded Thou may'st smile at all thy foes See, the streams of living waters Springing from eternal love Well supply thy sons and daughters And all fear of want remove Who can faint, while such a river Ever flows their thirst to assuage? Grace which, like the Lord, the giver Never fails from age to age Blest inhabitants of Zion Purchased by the Savior's blood Jesus, whom their souls rely on Makes them kings and priests to God While in love his Saints he raises With himself to reign as King All, as priests, his solemn praises For thank-off'rings freely bring Savior, if in Zion's city I, through grace, a member am Let the world deride or pity I will glory in Thy name Fading is the sinner's pleasure All his boasted pomp and show Solid joys and lasting treasure None but Zion's children know Oh Source: Musixmatch Songwriters: Paul Leddington- Wright Glorious Things of Thee Are Spoken lyrics © Thank You Music Ltd.

Psalm 55 Betrayed 1 To the Pure and Shining One King David’s song of derision, for instruction God, listen to my prayer! Don’t hide your heart from me when I cry out to you! 2 [2-3] Come close to me and give me your answer. Here I am, moaning and restless. I’m preoccupied with the threats of my enemies and crushed by the pressure of their opposition. They surround me with trouble and terror. In their fury they rise up against me in an angry uproar. 3 4 My heart is trembling inside my chest as the terror of death seizes me. 5 Fear and dread overwhelm me. I shudder before the horror I face. 6 I say to myself, “If only I could fly away from all of this! If only I could run away to the place of rest and peace. 7 I would run far away where no one could find me, escaping to a wilderness retreat.” - Pause in his presence 8 I will hurry off to hide in the higher place, into my shelter, safe from this raging storm and tempest. 9 God, confuse them until they quarrel with themselves. Destroy them with their own violent strife and slander. They have divided the city with their discord. 10 Though they patrol the walls night and day against invaders, the real danger is within the city. It’s the misery and strife in the hearts of its people. 11 Murder is in their midst. Wherever you turn you find trouble and ruin. 12 It wasn’t an enemy who taunted me. If it was my enemy, filled with pride and hatred, then I could have endured it. I would have just run away. 13 But it was you, my intimate friend - one like a brother to me. It was you, my advisor,[1] the companion I walked with and worked with! 14 We once had sweet fellowship with each other. We worshiped in unity as one, celebrating together with God’s people.[2] 15 Now desolation and darkness has come upon you. May you and all those like you descend into the pit of destruction! Since evil has been your home, may evil now bury you alive! 16 But as for me, I will call upon the Lord to save me, and I know he will! 17 Every evening I will explain my need to him. Every morning I will move my soul toward him. Every waking hour I will worship only him, and he will hear and respond to my cry. 18 Though many wish to fight and the tide of battle turns against me, by your power I will be safe and secure; peace will be my portion. 19 God himself will hear me! God-Enthroned through everlasting ages, the God of unchanging faithfulness - he will put them in their place, all those who refuse to love and revere him! - Pause in his presence 20 I was betrayed by my friend, though I lived in peace with him. While he was stretching out his hand of friendship, he was secretly breaking every promise he had ever made to me! 21 His words were smooth and charming. Yet his heart was disloyal and full of hatred - his words soft as silk while all the time scheming my demise. 22 So here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Leave all your cares and anxieties at the feet of the Lord, and measureless grace will strengthen you. 23 He will watch over his lovers, never letting them slip or be overthrown. He will send all my enemies to the pit of destruction. Murderers, liars, and betrayers will face an untimely death. My life’s hope and trust is in you, and you’ll never fail to rescue me!

James 1 Faith and Wisdom 1 Greetings! My name is Jacob,[1] and I’m a love-slave of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ. I’m writing to all the twelve tribes of Israel who have been sown as seeds[2] among the nations. 2 My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! 3 For you know that when your faith is tested[3] it stirs up power within you to endure all things. 4 And then as your endurance grows even stronger it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking. 5 And if anyone longs to be wise, ask God for wisdom and he will give it! He won’t see your lack of wisdom as an opportunity to scold you over your failures but he will overwhelm your failures with his generous grace.[4] 6 Just make sure you ask empowered by confident faith without doubting that you will receive. For the ambivalent person believes one minute and doubts the next. Being undecided makes you become like the rough seas driven and tossed by the wind. You’re up one minute and tossed down the next. 7 [7-8] When you are half-hearted and wavering it leaves you unstable.[5] Can you really expect to receive anything from the Lord when you’re in that condition? 8 9 The believer who is poor still has reasons to boast, for he has been placed on high. 10 But those who are rich should boast in how God has brought them low and humbled them, for all their earthly glory will one day fade away like a wildflower in the meadow. 11 For as the scorching heat of the sun causes the petals of the wildflower to fall off and lose its appearance of beauty,[6] so the rich in the midst of their pursuit of wealth will wither away. 12 If your faith remains strong, even while surrounded by life’s difficulties, you will continue to experience the untold blessings of God! True happiness comes as you pass the test with faith, and receive the victorious crown of life promised to every lover of God! 13 When you are tempted don’t ever say, “God is tempting me,” for God is incapable of being tempted by evil and he is never the source of temptation. 14 Instead it is each person’s own desires and thoughts that drag them into evil and lure[7] them away into darkness. 15 Evil desires give birth to evil actions. And when sin is fully mature it can murder you! 16 So my friends, don’t be fooled by your own desires! 17 Every gift[8] God freely gives us is good and perfect,[9] streaming down from the Father of lights,[10] who shines from the heavens with no hidden shadow or darkness[11] and is never subject to change. 18 God was delighted[12] to give us birth by the truth of his infallible Word[13] so that we would fulfill his chosen destiny for us and become the favorite ones out of all his creation![14] 19 My dearest brothers and sisters, take this to heart: Be quick to listen,[15] but slow to speak. And be slow to become angry, 20 for human anger is never a legitimate tool to promote God’s righteous purpose.[16] 21 So this is why we abandon everything morally impure[17] and all forms of wicked conduct.[18] Instead, with a sensitive spirit[19] we absorb God’s Word, which has been implanted within our nature, for the Word of Life has power to continually deliver us.[20] 22 Don’t just listen to the Word of Truth and not respond to it, for that is the essence of self-deception. So always let his Word become like poetry written and fulfilled by your life![21] 23 If you listen to the Word and don’t live out the message you hear, you become like the person who looks in the mirror of the Word to discover the reflection of his face in the beginning.[22] 24 You perceive how God sees you in the mirror of the Word,[23] but then you go out and forget[24] your divine origin. 25 But those who set their gaze deeply into the perfecting law of liberty[25] are fascinated by and respond to the truth they hear and are strengthened by it - they experience God’s blessing in all that they do![26] 26 If someone believes they have a relationship with God but fails to guard his words then his heart is drifting away and his religion is shallow and empty.[27] 27 True spirituality[28] that is pure in the eyes of our Father God is to make a difference in the lives of the orphans,[29] and widows in their troubles, and to refuse to be corrupted by the world’s values.
