To get the research bonus, do you have to play the ships in Random battles, or can you do Co-Op battles?

Found my answer on the Wiki, looks like doing Co-Op is an option to use.

So after a tech line reset you can also for free then reconfigure your ships with all the modules that became available. So you could eg swap a acceleration module with a mobility module or such. Correct?

Sorry for the late reply, yes, they're all demounted to the Armoury for free

Only issue is you need tons of Free XP!

Do you have to add all the modules back to the ships you regrind or can you play them without to save fxp and credits? Some modules I never purchased during my original grind.

As a minimum you need to upgrade the ones that lead to the next ship

In order to do a reset, do you have to have had purchased ALL preceding ships?

No, but you will to play all the t5-10 ships after reset to get the full amount of points

@@sethdunn96you need to have researched 5 tech tree t10s to unlock the ability to reset

@@AndyTheCupid You were correct. Once I got Tier X tech line ships, then I could do the reset. Getting Tier X ships from containers and game programs didn't allow for resets

Is this still working or was patched?

So far as I know it still works. I'll be doing a x4 when the double bonus is available in a weeks time.
