    Sure! Here you go: In an iron bowl (silver) add in half cup of water Add 1 and half tablespoon of gelatin into the water Allow to rest and proof for at least 5 minutes While it is proofing, Get : Icing sugar 1kg and 500g icing sugar (sift into a bowl) Add 1 teaspoon into the sifted icing sugar and mix to combine set it aside. Put your pot on fire add water then put the bowl of proven gelatin into the hot water and keep stiring until the gelatin melts halfway make sure the hot water doesn't enter the gelatin oh. Next add on half cup of glucose into the gelatin continue stirring until the gelatin and glucose completely melts and becomes liquid. Allow to cook a little and while still warm, add it into the icing sugar and CMC mixture and mix and when it has come together, pour on to your neat and dry surface and knead until it is smooth. Rub vegetable oil or vegetable shortening on it- not too much oh wrap in nylon or cling film, leave to rest for 24 hours and use. Hope this helps, this is what I have been using for years and it always serves me. I am here to clarify anything in case you still have questions. Thanks for watching.

    Hello Ifeoluwa! Thanks for engaging on my video💐 I used vegetable shortening sometimes called crisco to clean the fondant. If I understand your 2nd question well, I used glucose on top of the big cake to hold the small one on top. Royal Icing can also be used or buttercream. But now, I honestly enjoy using glucose, it holds the cake well. Do have a pleasant day.

(I do sprinkle it) allow to dissolve for some hours or overnight, then its ready for use. Divide the recipe into 2 if you want a smaller quantity. Use within 2 weeks.

    What's the meaning of fondant

  • @JoyousCakesandMore

    @JoyousCakesandMore

    Ай бұрын

    Fondant is a type of icing that is used for decorating cakes, it is flexible when it comes to covering cakes and making beautiful designs on the cake. it is made by combining and kneading icing sugar, melted gelatin, CMC, water and glucose, afterwards, it is allowed to rest for 12 to 24 hours for better output. It is often tainted with preferred edible food colours. It hardens well and can last for days and even months in the right weather conditions. Lemme catch my breath😁 I hope you got one or two things about fondant from the above. Thank you for stopping by, I hope you stay and keep in touch😁😆💐💐💐💐
