I usually don't like the satin finishes. I really like car finishes that look wet and have a mile deep shine. This finish you put down is stunning and looks FANTASTIC!!! Congratulations on a great job and great outcome using your products.

The benefits of spraying on your stripes is that there are no bubbles that will occur💯👍🥰...Awsome Job and thank you for sharing🙂

that last guideline where in you peel the tape while the last coating is still wet is crucial. without knowing it that’ll be a bummer :) thanks for the tips!

I like the look of the thin stripes the tape made. Great project.

As a carpenter of 30yrs, I recommend using a laser level (on vertical setting) to aim the tape perfectly... only need 2 reference points to stripe all but one end of the car.

me too the mustangs from 2005-2009 were the best years. The new ones aren't bad at all but from 05-09 they had it looking most like the muscle era.

Nice! Inspired me to paint angled vertical stripes on the side of the cab of my Tacoma. Unfortunately the tape tore some edges though I tried keeping them wet. Would you assume it wasn't wet enough? Also, if I wanted to put glossifier afterward I guess I need to retape and spray on later? What would you recommend?

Based on your experience , is it guaranteed that when peeling off the masking tape with last coat still being wet, that the few previous dried coats applied that was lapped on the tape and vehicle and the one under that the tape was applied on will not peel? even though the last coat is still wet while removing masking?

Thank you for the great information... Were I to use satinizer, would that be considered the final wet coat for stripe masking tape removal, versus the final plast-dip coat?

Does anyone know if you can plasti dip over powder coated wheels?

Would something similar work with vinyl sheets cut using a vinyl cutter as the masking material? If so I think it would be a great way to apply more complex patterns and designs for relatively little cost.

What would be the best way to get decent coverage on a hard-to-reach spot like the underside of a door handle or underneath a small wing?

So once you have done all your coats and you peel it after your last do you have to use some sort of gloss plasti dip? If so, after you’ve done your last coat of plasti dip, you obviously go to use your gloss coat. After you do let’s say 3 coats of gloss do you peel the tape off immediately or will the plasti dip come off when you take the tape off since you let the plasti dip dry or does it still work if your gloss coat is wet ?

That satin white is nice. the blue I think i would want something slightly different, lighter or brighter not sure.

Is there a ridge between the base coat and the stripes. If so, how do you smooth it out?

I just bought the mask and 7 cans of plasti dip. I have watched a lot of your videos and I had a question. I have Hummer and I wanted to paint my fender flares. Also a strip at the bottom of my doors and my grill and emblems. Will the cans do the job or will I need to get the sprayer?

If you wanted to apply multiple coats of glossifier, would the same rule apply and tape be removed immediate after final coat of glossifier? Would it still peel away with straight lines?

would it be possible to do the same thing, but have a satin finish base and a glossy finish for the stripes?

I don't understand why the first 2 coats of plastidip that dried on top of the masking tape didn't make the whole thing peel off when they removed it. Can anyone explain this to me? maybe I missed something, I thought you shouldnt let plastidip dry when you mask it

Hi, i saw in another video of yours you say to remove the masking tape when the first coat of paint is wet. But here you say to leave the second coat dry and remove when third coat is wet? Which method is right?

Can I use this technique if i am doing a two tone job? I am plasti dipping a foxbody GT. I am trying to figure out a game plan regarding plasti dipping the bottom half Hyper Titanium Pearl and the top half Electric Blurple Pearl. Any advice would be gratefully appropriated. As I live in California, so the only way to pull this off would be to use pearls.

Hey Fonz, 2015 Taurus SHO....if I wanted a complete DYC flat white paint job, what would it run me to have your company do it? Every time I attempt to plastidip anything, it turns out like complete garbage.

Any advice on how to get the measurements for an Off-Center stripe?
