Why not apply paint and or camo wrap to the rest of the weapon? (Optic, light, anything black)

Could you use grill paint heat resistant colors for the barrel?

My be dumb but I only know what I know. Could this work on a small scale applied to pistol slides? I know it’s not permanent or proper but is it a horrible idea? Cheers🤙🏼

Could totally work on slides, basically on anything, optics, tripods, frames, slides, mags, etc!
