You can tell already by looking at the dial glas.. Sapphire anti reflective vs cheapy reflective glas, you can clearly see the difference

The rough and unpolished bezel shine on the replica gave it away for me...

the fluting edging the dial bezel is obvious between the two as well.

Ballin bausch I noticed that too. Did you notice that the font on the date wheel is inaccurate as well? You can also see texture on the bezel insert. Almost like it is painted instead of ceramic. Another thing you can check on the clasp is whether or not the Breitling logo is visible from the back side. If it is, then you have a fake. Dials and cases are easy to clone, but stamping stainless steel is a little trickier and the factories in China don't assume many people care about the details on the bracelets or clasps. In fact, if you get a fake watch and invest in a genuine bracelet, then it is more likely that you'll fool people since those are the ways that I can typically spot a fake right off the bat.

also, the real thing has a high quality anti reflective coating on the glass. It gives it a blue / green hue against the light.

Apart from the what you pointed out on the fake there are also other details the fake can be spotted like the "made in swiss" under the date/6 o'clock and the actual unidirectional bezel on the fake is completely different.

One more thing, most good fake watches DO have the "Swiss Made" stamp now...

I thought the blue one is the Original because the crown look a bit more well done.

Inside of the fake you don't have "Swiss Made" that's important too

If you watch the seconds hand as time goes on through the video the one on the left will catch up to the one on the right - so one of them is not exactly at 60 seconds. They start about 5/6 seconds different and end about 3/4 seconds different.

I could tell straight away based on the non reflective coating on the genuine. You also missed the font on the engraving on the band is different on the fake one

the swiss made stamp wasnt on the replica under the 6 that was a quick sign too

Also, if you look closely at the real one, the bottom has Swiss Made, but again that can also be replicated, but as you mentioned its in the subtle nature. Great video!

from someone who had bought and sold both originals and replicas for years ..... the last 30 seconds of the video make the most sense , sadly the watch you are comparing the original against is a grade 3 watch, I'm not trying to degrade your attempt just you need to know a lot about watches, the watch you reviewed has a generic 3 dollar Chinese automatic movement , that's why the date font window is incorrect . these are usually sold in Chinese flee markets for 15 USD . the better replicas have real automatic swiss valjoux movements ( 7750/ 7753, etc ) and are true identical unless you are an expert in breitling . firstly if you want to check its real.... go to a master watchsmith , then check the serial number and dealer which sold it ( if its Dubai or hong kong dealers beware too , it might be a fake dealership !)

The real one says Swiss made on the face, the fake doesn't. Pretty easy to spot. I've had one for 6 years and still never saw a fake one in person.

Theres some insider information suggesting that Swissarex has access to the Rolex database and uses the same codes on their watches as the original ones. Because of this, its nearly impossible to distinguish them as fakes.

Is nothing to stop the replica to have a serial number on the band ?

Scary how close the fake is to the authentic watch. Without one to compare with the other, it would be difficult to tell which is which.

AR coating is the easiest tell. Fake is very reflective.

what I would be interested in is the difference between the bracelets. The superocean heritage I own has the best mesh bracelet I have ever owned. How does the replica bracelet match up. It might be worth buying a replica to toss the watch in the bin and keep the bracelet for desk diving on your real watch to keep the real bracelet nice !

Its rumored that even watch experts cant tell Swissarex replicas from originals. Thats how good they are.

bezel gave it away right away. the original breitling has deep cuts around the edge of the bezel to grip onto where the fake is almost rounded out.

The first tell(s) for me that the black one was fake are the "Superocean" screen printing is way too thick on the replica, and the date window is very sunken where the real Breitling has a very fine fitting date window. Source: Almost bought a fake Navitimer until closer inspection of the sunken date window gave it away and was confirmed as a fake by a professional.

What does pat. Pens. Mean on the clasp?

it is very easy to detect which is fake...the rotary vessel color was dull, the dial was noticeably low quality.

As always, exceptions. That model may have serial numbers on the band but my aerospace doesn't. (And yes, it's a genuine one!)

the first tell tale I noticed is no swiss made wording in the bottom dial of the fake.

I think what you are referring to is the "crystal". And yes, that was the first thing I noticed but I didn't mention it because I didn't think the camera would pick it up.

+maxgtv When you pan across doing the close up, the right screen is full of marks full blown reflective glare from the light. :) not sure what you mean about crystal? My Breitling is sapphire glass and that's the quickest and easiest give away on the fakes. Sapphire doesn't scratch or reflect light

There are fakes everywhere and it's the quickest and easiest way to spot a fake, and I saw it straight away in the video. I can say my thoughts on that. You seem to think there is no opportunity to watch your own video to check before you post it. The video maker could have checked. Date wheels are almost always a dead giveaway. They never line up perfectly as they should. Even though fakes are getting better with size. Proportions etc, they slways lack assembly detail. They ate slapped together. The swiss have nothing to worry against an adian slap stick

I'd advise *against* it. Even though Amazon is typically viewed as a reputable source for products, there is still great potential for deceit through the site (especially when it comes to high-end items like this watch). If you actually have the money to spare, just go to a retail store for one. Take care.

i bet you won't get any problem when you choose the watch with "special feature" like GPS Satellite watch, for example: Citizen Atessa GPS, Seiko Astron, G-Shock Mr-G, sadly there's none Swiss Watch on this race

The color on the black bezel looked too flat/dull and the reflection on the fake one of the glass looked off also.

Mine's fake but it only cost me 180 bucks, is 20 years old and still ticking.

I instantly noticed because the fake didnt even say swiss made.

This is why I buy Invicta, cause no one fakes them.Because their already made in China. :D

The best way to tell is the serial numbers inside the band, I guess. My blue-faced replica has the 3-D B at 12, the date numbers are high-contrast and fill the box, and the watch is, frankly, beautiful. It does not have the serial numbers on the band, though. Somebody below said aliexpress.com has quality replicas. They do (although I didn't get my Breitling there).

I’m surprised you didn’t even mention the infix markings and how on the black watch the markings are off. This is a clear tell. The black is indeed a fake but it’s a bad fake. There are MUCH better fakes out there where you won’t be able to tell unless you open up the watch.
