You definitely have spinning off (actually everything you did) mastered in an excavator. Great looking ditch by the way. What I liked the best in your video now seems almost like not seeing the forest for the trees. Digging a hole to get rid of that last little bit of dirt is brilliant! Why didn't I think of that?? pretty decent digging and instructions buddy. I was a young kid like 20 and had to figure out all the fancy tricky I would hear someone mention,I remember all I was ever told and not even shown was how to slope,( dig 6'' down and mover over 6" and so on until the bottom, thats how I learned to slope with some practice.) and just do it myself careful trial and thankfully no big error yet, t always get my blood pu,ping a bit especially if people are watching. And then you get the jerk off who comes over and tells you how to do something or a step you were just about to execute or do, those guys that wanna make them self look smart and feel good...sooo annoying. It sure wold have been nice to have someone show me how to do it properly but you did it the exact same way I decided was the best,( walking back a big instead of spinning in one spot that loosens the ground for a cave in. ( and with plugging out being so time consuming when your green I was real happy when I decided to just dig a hole to push my remaining plug ionto and heel the ditch bottom and then there is no side digging BS which suck because you almost blind to your bucket in the ditch.

pretty decent digging and instructions buddy.
Damn this dude is good.
Awesome video good explanation...
Awesome man. 😊great stuff.

Also depends on the condition of the dirt. This one was really hard so its a bit easier.

This trench was done with a trencher not an excavator that's why it looks so good

This is great! thanks for good instructions, I am newbie just getting going with a ex120 older Hitachi , one thing I really need to learn is grading better with a bucket, wondering if you will have a video showing some techniques, I have a hard time with longer reach and not making divets in the ground
It was hard to, but I finally had to ditch this video, with a thumbs up.
Nice video.... smooth operator!
You dig a great ditch
best of luck Ulysses
nice job man!!
Top work bud
You're good!!
nice video man.
Great work.....
looks like cut with a lightsaber :-)
Great vid! I'd say for someone wanting to practice this on a very easy level try with a trench that isn't so wide and not so deep. I've noticed when the trench is let's say wide as the space between your tracks and deep the pressure is on and can seem scary if you're not sure of your skills and technique.
audio was great!!!!!
Damn he is very good! Never seen a job straighter than that!

JaCk it was already dug with a trencher and backfilled. Frozen ground doesn't cut like that.
Nice that there was a frozen top layer. Couldn't do that in gravel. It would all sluff in. Good demo tho. Gave it a thumbs up.
Good job man
Wow nice. Damn. I don’t think it’s possible to get that trench any straighter. Thanks for this video.
Wow man good job
But great video. Clean ditch good tips!
Try that in the sandy soil in South Jersey .
That smaller bucket makes for clean edges.. Especially with 12" frozen surface
very good video! ty
Will you please do a video on digging benches?
Nice straight ditch when they cut the frost with a rocksaw for you.

Just had a good ripper hand
We spin off 20ft deep bore pits with running sand the key is you got to be fast dig balls out get the shoring in as fast as you can and we put 4 steel 8x20 plates in the front and rear of the box most of the time the front of your tracks are hanging over the edge

And you want to know why cuz you're most likely not from the f****** North like this Yankee ass f*** oh yeah you have testicles that's how you do that in sand
Good Job !!!!!!
Exceptional video, well thought out and clearly explained,id like to know where this was filmed?it really does appear to be illuminated with tranquility,i dont think i have EVER seen such clean dimentions,i have to admit i really am impressed sir, thanx 4 the upload! .
And keep them tracks flat as ya can will help ya not knock a bunch of material n ur ditch 👍👍 nice clean cut man good job👊
Audio was very good by the way.
One thing I noticed is the red mark on the thumb that's how he keeps his depth so even

Only if the surface is even
Excellent video !!! Excellent professional skills !!! (on 10:23 “perpendicular” in lieu of “parallel”).

It was neither. He said the hoe was parallel. It was close, but not quite. Closer to parallel than perpendicular though. I had to rethink it too.
There you go good hard ground!
Awesome 👌
Frozen ground... Nice job.
fuck sake, 7 dislike,,,what the...this man is good,,,,
what if you were to dig the last a section a little deeper than grade near the last cut, then just fill that deeper void with the last bit of cut, then compact it with your bucket? Or no?
Ha ha that's brilliant I'm impressed but if you tried that in the uk you'd be left with a full ditch regardless of weather but good job anyway love ya vids
Good video
