How to Spend ONE Day in VICTORIA, BC Downtown | Must-See & Unique Places | CANADA Vlog

Welcome to our tour of Victoria, British Columbia in Canada! In this Victoria, B.C. travel vlog, we'll show you some of the top things to do in Victoria in one day!
Victoria is the capital city of British Columbia in Canada. It's known for its museums, harbors, and bustling downtown district. Canada's "Garden City" is also famous for its beautiful flowers and gardens.
From America, the easiest way to get to Victoria is by taking the Black Ball Ferry from Port Angeles, Washington. Since we were doing a day trip to Victoria, we walked onto the ferry for a round-trip journey.
One of the most famous buildings in downtown Victoria, BC is the Fairmont Empress Hotel, which we went to first, when we arrived in Canada. We'll share some fun facts with you about this Victorian hotel as well as a glimpse into its lobby. Also inside The Empress, is Miniature World. This is a museum of 85 mini dioramas. showcasing everything from historical scenes to fairytales. It is a must-see attraction in Victoria! Miniature World truly is the "Greatest Little Show on Earth!"
Since Victoria is the capital of BC, one of the best places to visit in Victoria, BC is the British Columbia Parliament Buildings. The buildings are the official residence for the B.C. Parliament and where the Provincial Legislative Assembly gather. You can take a free, guided tour of the Parliament Buildings or do a self-guided tour (which is what we chose). The inside of the building is gorgeous, especially the Memorial Rotunda. But the biggest highlight of this building is seeing the Legislative Chamber, which is where sessions of parliament take place.
We ventured deeper into downtown to explore Chinatown Victoria, BC. When entering Chinatown, you're greeted by the Gate of Harmonious Interest, which is stunning! Chinatown is also home to Fan Tan Alley: North America's most narrow commercial street. We explored this unique shopping district.
Victoria has water taxis that take you around the city. We jumped at the chance to ride one ourselves and took a water taxi down to Fisherman's Wharf from Chinatown. Fisherman's Wharf is adorable and consists of float homes that people actually live in, on the water! Fisherman's Wharf is a must-see location when in Victoria!
We ended our day in the picturesque Inner Harbour of Victoria. Inner Harbour is the hub of tourism in the city. We were able to peruse some of the local vendors there and take in the charming sites of the harbor. Inner Harbor
We saw as many of the top attractions in Victoria. BC in one day as we could. This is a beautiful city and a perfect place to spend one day in.

I think it was about $50 for round trip but we were just walk-on passengers, so we didn’t have a car with us.

@@thetravelingstewarts well, if vloggers just kept their faces out of the view shot...not like viewers would forget who's vlogging. Too many of face planted vloggers/foreground blocking the background (main feature). Have a great day!
