I really appreciate this, I know lots of missionaries come home and never does the language they used on their mission, but you're helping teach it. Thank you😁

Malo uso, long time!
Thank you
Hi! And thank you so much for doing these! I've been looking for some type of actual language system for Samoan for ages! I just started your videos and I wanted to know how long we should spend on each video OR have fast we should advance. I'm afakasi and never got the chance to learn either of my language inheritences, so this is really a treat for me! Thanks again, Bother Smith!!!

Hi VC, glad these are helpful. My only experience teaching this is to missionaries in a fairly intense language program where we would probably cover one or two of these lessons every day. I think you have to be the judge as to what place works for you but I’d suggest you work on one at a time until you feel like you’ve got it okay (definitely don’t worry about perfection) then move on. That being said, it may not hurt to listen to these at a little faster pace then come back to them again as you’re ready to do more. Obviously, most of the work you’ll do is trying to speak the language that you know, not watching the videos themselves. Hopefully that helps. If anyone else has an idea please contribute
Thank you for this! Really helpful

I’m glad you like the videos but no I don’t have a book really or anything close. Sadly I don’t even know if a book I’d recommend. The only book I can think of is the Samoan for missionaries book which was basically my text book when I was first learning the language. It was dated even back then and definitely tailored for missionaries but still might be useful. As far as I can tell it’s a free download from BYU at scholarsarchive.buy.edu/etd/4655 Check it out and let me know if it was helpful
