Victor Cavazos i agree, and nice Kingsman reference, but I do not believe he portrayed the entire idea perfectly. His comments on please and thank you were correct and useful, but the rest was a bit sloppy. Especially when he says that profanity is the beat way to sound dumb, but stumbles over his own words for 5 seconds, which is the easiest way to sound dumb. He made points that did not need to be made and also showed a lack of understanding of the topic by not including many key rules.
@g-man6677
4 жыл бұрын
And to be clear, I do agree with what he said, but there are other points he should have made, so points he did not need to make like the thank you point, which could have gone with please. He also should have been more careful to not break his own rules in my opinion
@g-man6677
4 жыл бұрын
Oh, and I am sorry but one more thing to add on him breaking his own rules. He makes subtle sexist remarks all the time. In the past he has said both, “ the way I see it, women drink wine, guys drink beer, and gentlemen drink whiskey” and also “A gentleman must drink one of 3 masculine drinks” to quote a few. These are both very subjective and borderline sexist.

I apologise for saying this in advance, but it blows my mind how so many American's don't say Thank You. I mean, I was in the states for my Summer Holidays, and I honestly felt a bit insulted when it came to people completely ignoring me doing things to help them out, such as holding a door open etc. I'm a 16 year old brit, and I was brought up that way, so I guess I just expect it to happen. But in the UK, people are so much more polite. I am sorry if I offended anyone with this. Just my observation.

Here in America we have this idiotic cultural dilemma where one having basic manners is considered "nice," and if someone is nice, they are seen as "weak." A lot of people here would rather be rude morons than "nice and weak." It's not everyone of course, but it's too prevalent to not be noticed.

Aron, it was a great video. Thanks, for guiding me to be a better person ( not only physically but also mentally). Please keep up with your great work that you're doing.
I was brought up in a very strict conservative household and my parents taught their children manners, how to speak, and how to respect others. though i've moved and hold different views from what my parents brought me up in but my core values that they taught me is still intact. not to talk about myself too much but i've made so many friends in my journey through the way i carry myself. i've been in relationships that ended amicably and even if it ends badly down the line they still call. i believe that "the gentleman" is a dying breed and what's weird is we're in high demand.
Sir you spoke truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. These words of wisdom us ladies can apply to our lives as well. Thank you.
The please and thank you are something people should always say, I was raised that way and most gentleman probably are.

Yes, life *is* easier when you aren't worrying about "appeasing others" (i.e. being a decent human being). That doesn't make it a good idea, nor does it make it the course of action that will lead to your own long-term happiness. If you're always doing whatever is easiest rather than expending a little more effort to be a good person, you aren't going to get very far in life.

This the most hard hitting and enlightening video I have ever seen. This is done very gentlemanly and genuinely. This was very hard to watch. I am going to watch it repeatedly.
