Yep, I'll be posting most of my mycology content here in the future. Thank for taking time to write!

@2:23 - I did the bucket tek (with a cooler) and let it sit for a day or so. Then I mixed it well and packed in foodsaver bags. I let it sit back in the cooler in sealed bags with a sous vide cooker at 170F for about 90 minutes. I think this should cover me.

When you talk about not mixing the two different types I would think you would use new gloves between the two boxes but maybe it doesn't make a difference what donyounthink

@@TheMycologySociety no I have been wanting to for some time now I actually have all the stuff but just been busy setting up my outdoor garden and veggie stuff so really interesting 💪🏼 I am going to get my hand dirty one day we about to start finding morel mushrooms in another week or so in the Midwest

@@growermo940 I'm in the Midwest too and can't wait for morel season! It's plenty enough to keep you busy for now, that's for sure. @@TheMycologySociety for sure I hit you up when it growing me some fungi I am always a big fan of mix salad greens and Summer squash zucchini and peppers 🌶 beans I love to grow all kinds of vegetables 🍅 I really love all the verity of cherry tomatoes there my favorite that so crazy you from the Midwest going to be crazy nice in north east Missouri all week 💪🏼💚🍄✌️

What size are those tubs?

Gotten mixed messages about having more than one strain in a tub.

After the second week off colonisation when we take lid of to spray, do we only spray ghe tub oe lod amd for sides or the actual micelium as well ? ❤❤

You shouldn't have to spray your grain unless you have dry grow area, it needs to already have moisture in it, during fruiting only very lightly mist when needed

No need for a liner if you pack your tub right and keep it hydrated so it doesn't shrink... And popcorn being big grain probably helps the cake hold it's shape.......

If you made it too wet can you just squeeze it?

Yes. Put the jar in a soup pot with a lid. Cover and cook medium for 1 hour and half.

Why is it not recommended to add more popcorn to the monotube as a substrate?

i think that will add a high risk of contamination.

Slightly higher contam risk, no other reason, the more grain the more nutrients for your fruits to grow

paint the sides of your bins black and that will help with side pinning too

you used two quarts of coco before the vid like you did with the popcorn?

Its all dependent on ratio... 1 quart grain to 2-3 quarts coir depending on your preference and then a quart or more of coir for the top layer

He's referring to the substrate which is made of coconut shell or Hull ground up it's actually pronounced like coyer .. his mispronunciation of the word is a common mistake because it looks French but it's not Coyer
