Im looking for a machine that puts the seeds onto a tape strip. Who makes them???

What make the seeds fly in the air ? and what type of vibrator you used ?

What kind of vacuum pump did you have use?

It's just the standard pump fitted on the Blackmore Seeder. They might have specs for it on their company website?

what do you use for the vibration

It's a built in vibrator that comes as part of the machine. Sorry, wasn't an add on we tacked on to the seeder.

Where do you get one of those?

This machine came from the Blackmore Company over 25 years ago and still works great. There's lots of manufacturers, like Visser is another popular one (from Europe)

Hi--We have a seeder similar to this, but wonder if you know of any good options for sowing large seed like cucumbers, squash and beans. Thanks for any tips.

Hey, for those we do the sowing by hand with simple handheld seed applicators (the circle trays you tap to sprinkle out seeds slowly). We do dozens of trays a day but if it were hundreds we'd probably look into something with a very large vacuum tip that would work on those seeds. ~ Will

Is the machine is too expensive?

It's a costly piece of equipment but this one has lasted us almost 30 years so it's more than paid for itself in the efficiencies it provides. A great great investment if your commercial grower doing seeding on scale. Not realistic if you just need to do a few trays for your home garden. ~ Will
