Your videos are the best training for DIYers. Thanks for teaching so many good things. I want to install engineered wood floor in my house which has plywood subfloor. Could I use the double glue-down method with cork underlay on plywood subfloor? When cork underlay is used, could I spot glue and nail the engineered floor still? How much does each layer of glue approximately cost per sqft?

Hello Pooya, I don’t recommend to use nails over cork underlay, the best way just use glue. Labor and glue for cork underlay installation $2.50 per s.f. May have varietion by the arias. For example in USA it cost more then Canada. Thanks for watching and commenting!

MrYoucandoityourself I’m going to be doing this on my place with 6 mm cork. Which trowel should I use? The glue I’m using is eco 975. And would you recommend using a 100lb roller after? Thank you for answering my question and all your videos are big help!

Does the cork cut down on the hollow sound that some laminate floors (Pergo?) make when you walk on them? Thanks for the instructions and video.

Cork backing is for sound deadening between floor and ceiling below and for warmth

@@MrYoucandoityourself We'll I'm personally doing a strand bamboo on a concrete slab. I want to know what is best. I'm currently looking at Mapei 980 & 995, and Bostick Ultra Grip, Green Grip, and Green Force. Have you used all of those?

@@mikejonce1 I used all this material. Bamboo very good for basement, because moister not a problem for this type of wood. You have to make sure, bamboo very specific material. My experience with this wood very big, because we install it a lot 3-5 years ago. We not doing it in lust few yers, carbonized finish very easy to scratch, but impossible to fix it, and sometimes boards have cracks on top because it splitting out. Maybe your material much better quality thane before, every year technology going up and up. Bostic green forse for moister protection. You can any use regular glue if don't need any protection, like Bostik EFA, Mapei or Bona. I never use Roberts glue, maybe it's good too. Anysing else?

If you looking for a hardwood, I definitely recommend engenired hardwood floor, with white oak, light colour. Now it’s very popular.
