This was really well done. One of the best explanations I've come across. You really nailed the U.S. pronunciations. Definitely was a huge culture shock for when us Americans first heard British people speaking (commonly with Harry Potter) & having normal conversations to realize how different it was & that we did the 'd' sound.

1] 0:09 - Put the word 'Quite' in every sentences before you describe something. 2] 1:13 - Call everyone 'Mate'. Always say 'Mate' instead of 'Friend', 'Pal' or 'Buddy'. 3] 2:09 - Pronounce the 'T's or don't pronounce them at all. 4] 4:15 - Pronounce 'Been' like the same as you would pronounce 'Seen'. 5] 5:11 - I was sat/I was stood. (British dialect) 6] 8:36 - Don't pronounce the 'R's at the end of the words. End the words with an 'A'.

1. Use “quite” more often 2. Use “mate” more than pals/friends/buddies 3. “T”s could be more pronounced OR just not pronounced 4. “ee”s are pronounced with a long “e” sound 5. Different dialect usage, like saying “I was sat/stood” instead of “I was sitting/standing” 6. “R”s less rolled, just said smoothly and barely pronounced

As a British person, laughing a lot at this video. Didn't quite realise how often we use the word 'quite' until watching this. I use this word quite a lot of the time.

LordOfThe Flightless no, not joking. I found it hilarious when he pointed it out. I don't think it's a posh accent thing. I reckon it's used by those of a cockney accent too.

Really great video, some fantastic observations. On the "was sat" thing, though, it is unusual, but it's not per se incorrect. In English, participles of verbs can be used as adjective. For example, "the walking/walked dog". I would include "I was sat" in that category.
