    I had elbow issues big time with a stiff Babolat Pure Drive and normal poly string tension and switched to a 89.5 sq inch head (the 2001 i.prestige Head) and added weight all over. Heavy flexible racket with Alu Power at 21 kgs…and BOOM! tennis elbow GONE!!! My advice to sufferers of the elbow: switch to a heavy Head control oriented racket with low tension for some months. It will take adjusting if you’re not advanced like I am, but you’ll save your arm and then you can go from there. Thanks for a great video once again. I learned so much from you already! Ps: for control: use 18x20 too!

    Buy a Klippermate and string your frame yourself: you can experiment with strings and tensions and fine-tune your racquet. It takes many trials to find what works best for you, and a stringing machine lets you find your racquet setup sweet spot economically.

    Great advice for all tennisnerds! I have learned over the years to customize all my racquets to enhance the playability as well adjust the string type and tension!

    Great job. I would add - demo, borrow from a friend to avoid these problems. And offer to pay to have the demo racquet strung with your string at your tension- it’s worth it.

    I just discovered why players use long rackets. They want more power on serves without the weight penalty. I can hit ground strokes with heavy racket, but I can not serve with heavy racket. Miss hits on serves are too taxing on my joints. 13.5 oz is heavy for me.

    Full bed of NRG2 is an awesome string at 17g but lasted me about 10hrs

    Hi 👋 fellow tennis nerd here. If you don't mind, I've got a question. Currently my main racket is the Dunlop CX 200 tour with solinco confidential at 52~54 pounds. I also use a pro staff V13 with a hybrid set up of natural gut on the mains and confidential on the crosses. Before I used the latest prestige pro with the same setup as the prostaff, however this racket gave me arm issues so I sold them all. That being said I just loved the feeling and now I was lucky enough to find two prestige classic mid in good condition. I am a pretty flat hitter but am trying to implement some more spin in my game. Would you recommend a hybrid set up or just a full bed of the confidential? Thank you.

    Stupid question, but how do i find my game style and how do i find what i lack or do good lol. I feel silly asking how to do this but episode like this confuse me a bit because i don't know my own game. I love the videos and all episodes so i thought i would ask being a noob to the sport playing at 3.5 usta rec league.

    Can you do a comparison between entry level stringing machines? Drop weight vs crank?

    Jonas, I see you like Hyper G a lot. I do too and have been sticking w 16L 1.25., I thought about going to 17g but I did that once on a VCore100 and just felt loose. what is your experience with that string at 17g ?

    I thought higher stiffness rackets give you more control?

  • @erickmell0

    @erickmell0

    No, in theory, more stiffness = less control and more power. Usually, beam width will define the power (thick beam = +power and - control - ex.: pure drive (high stiffness and thick beam) ia a very powerfull racket; the opposite: prestige mp (low stiffeness an thin beam) has low power, but a lot of control.

    I think you're confusing it with strings. Stiff racquets give more power, stiff strings give more control. Flexible racquets give more control, flexible strings give more power.
