Method 7: Divide numerator and denominator by z . Then 4z+2/z is purely real. Solving we get |z|^2=1/2

Quadratic and conjugate pair is the best method I found,,,and putting zero is also the awesome method....

MEthod 7 use the concept of product of roots in method 6 to get 2/4 = 1/2
Shortcut method : Z=a+ib ; (b not equal to zero) but ( a can be zero) therefore Z=ib , by puting it ,eqn simplifies

@@IITian_Shivamm It's not at all reliable, if the solution was in z (polynomial of z), then there may not be a purely imaginary z that would satisfy the condition. But luckily the solution is in |z| allowing all type of complex numbers

Sir my method was too cheap i think cuz what i did was ( 1:41 ) Since its a real number i just thought if 2+4z^2 become 0 in numerator and denominator then we'll be left with 3z/-3z which is -1 which is purely real So i just put 2+4z^2=0 so 4z^2=-2 So mod z^2=1/2
Sir I would like to add one more methods We will assume it to be rcosx+irsinx With would make the calculation even simpler Everything that's related to learning new methods comes from experience and this was an amazing video and the last method was really nice but we were able to do that because be knew it would be 1/2 and not due to hit and trial(by putting -1)

He used -1 because it would cancel out the only different term, i.e., 3z It wasn't because of the solution.

When I saw the ques here ,firstly I thought let's try to form quadratic😁 ,thankyou sir ,watching this analysis was worth it
I haven't properly studied complex numbers yet, I am unable to solve even mains level properly. But ironically enough, when I first saw the question, what came to mind was what you did as method five, that put a smile on my face but I know it's nothing to be happy about. Yet it's reassuring I at least have a good thought process now which I certainly didn't have before. I am a student at your ongoing crash course and I believe it's thanks to it that I was able to improvise at mathematics so much in a matter of months. Thanks a lot sir 🙏

Sir another method is to use componendo dividendo followed by putting 1/z = z bar / (mod z)^2 and equating imaginary part to 0 to directly get answer.
Sir if possible, please make JEE Advanced Chapterwise PYQ PDFs like you've made for JEE Mains. The PYQ PDFs are available everywhere but they are either Year-wise or filled with errors. That's our need of the hour, I hope you will consider this suggestion of mine.

Sir, we have another method for solving this, much similar to the last method. As mentioned, Z should is an CN with non zero img part. So, just assume Z=ai, a-constant. And the above eqn is a real no, so the img part again should be 0 both the sides. And we let the real part be any no, let x. This x comes out to be -1 after solving, and hence value of Z also comes out to be 1/√2i. This is a superimposed trick of last 2 methods, ig.

This similar type of question was in our class notes (obv before adv 2022) and our teacher taught us Method 3 there, so idhar bhi mujhe M1, M2 and M3 most probably strike hue they, but best method for me in an exam hall would be M3 (coz vahi strike hota mujhe😂😂)

Advanced pyq are very imp as there aren't a lot of advanced q so we must make the most of every q
I have one more method, though it is similar to Method 1..... Put Z=x+iy.... Here y≠0 but there is no constraint on x so put x=0.... Hence, z=iy.... Put in the equation..... Rationalize and put Im(expression)=0 and you will get |Z|² as 1/2..... I believe this is a much simpler and intuitive approach with minimal calculation......

method 8 jisse 2 second meh hogaya , put z=ki , usse 2-4k^2 +3ik / 2-4k^2 -3ik , ab since real, maine 2-4k2 = 0 krdiya , usse mod z ^2 = 1/2 aagayi . It clciked when they said imaginar part isnt 0 , toh purely im rakhdiye

Take z simply as an imaginary no. As nothing was said about the real part... Then too it goes similar to M-1 yet a lot easier

Aur bhi ak simple method hei mere pas Vo kaha "z" has non zero img part, take real part zero , so Z= í(k), Z²= -k² We get ((2-4k²) +(3k)í) / ((2-4k²) -(3k)í) It is of form some complex number a/ā so multiply and divide by a ==> a²/a.ā, a² real hei tho img part=0 (2-4k²)²-(3k)²+2(2-4k²)(3k)í mei img part=0 So 2(2-4k²)3k=0, k=/=0(question padlo), so k=1/√2 Z=(1/√2)í then [Z]²=1/2😁😆 Yeha í means iiota

The last hit and trial method u could have got tht real number to be -1 but taking z to be purely imaginary(instead of hit and trial) after all they only said imaginary part was non zero they didnt even talk abt real part
