one doubt: in floyd triangle, shouldnt p be initialized as 0? bcs otherwise 1++ jus gives 2 right?

Mam, i have a doubt in previous program like increasing number diamond program, you said that we cannot again initialise "p" again, so mam you have declared "p" globally right, then why here in the next diamond printing program of consisting of increasing and decreasing numbers, you have seperately initiated "p= 5" again.
