ENDED! I am going to do a giveaway and give at least two 2x2 and two 3x3 Cubes but I need some suggestions on how to do so. I asked on reddit (see link below & pics) on got a few ideas. So far I think I am going to do some sort of random comments as winners but I need ideas on how to randomly select comment winners. Also I will give a free cube for the each person who is first to find a mistake in the video wether it be an algorithm, spelling etc. I know of at least one spelling mistake. That will help me to identify and correct mistakes. I may have to keep the shipping USA only due to shipping costs but maybe can find a work around to have a new cube purchased and shipped to winner. Kevin Gittemeier, Cool - I’m in. How about go old school. Who ever wants to be in the giveaway, must Like, Subscribe and leave a Comment saying Done. You write their name on a piece of paper and put it in the hat for the drawing. Once you have 50 or 100 “Done” you hold the drawing.

I like the random number method, and the like subscribe and done combo. It seems like it would be lesss hassle for you. I would have a specific comment strand and time period for it just to set some kinda of guidelines for it.

The best video. I was able to solve 3 X 3 but wasn't able to do 2 X 2. I watched many other videos they just like make this move make that move. You have explained the method and when you explained it's just a 3 X 3 Rubik's cube without the middle I was able to solve quickly.

Awesome I’m glad it helped! There are more efficient methods for the 2 x 2 but I think it’s best to start with this one because it literally is a 3 x 3 without the Center and edges. This method has given me the confidence to solve the 2x2 cube. And as a side note, don’t get the Rubik’s from Walmart. It’s a pain to use. I got that one first then I got to use the one from Kevin’s amazon page and there’s a significant difference.

@@KTFG Great video! Love the way you explain things. Very easy to follow. As a total newbie I loved how you explained how 12 turns becomes 5 steps. Would love possibly a separate video of "finger tricks" in the future. Fish Patterns cracked me up..."Somebody thought this looked like a fish. I don't see it. Wait a minute, maybe I do." haha!!! I think I saw 3 typos in the text on the video. Not sure if you care. Great video though. Thanks! Can't wait for future ones.

@@beckyh.1014 I plan to eventually do a "Tips & Tricks" which will include finger tricks. Yes I am interested in the typos as it will help me with future videos. I will be doing a Cube give a way soon with winners being a) random comment b) first person who finds a particular typo or mistake c) finding an Easter egg (hidden photo only shows for a split second) I think it will have to be USA only for this first give away as the intentional shipping will be too much. Maybe if this goes well I can find a way to do international, maybe shipped direct form seller to winner. I will let you know when the giveaway starts (soon) and then you can comment a mistake or typo to win a 2x2 cube. Hopefully I don't have too many mistakes or going to go broke giving away free cubes.

Thanks a lot. In 2020 I learn how to solve 3x3 with Kevin's video. Now I'm below 40 seconds. I need to learn full CFOP to get better, but with 50% CFOP algs it's ok. Just for curiosity I got 2x2 and try to learn from different videos. Mistake. Found Kevin's video again and woala now I now know 2x2. Artega method is definitely better method but that 9s next to learn ))) Thanks Kevin.

Really helpfull tutorial, and the site helped me memorize it, and now, a couple mental breakdowns later, I got a 4x4 aswell :,) Could you make a tutorial on that aswell please? It’d really help me out 😅

Screw are you smarter than a fifth grader, there should be a show called "can you solve a Rubik's cube as fast as a three year old". I'm 36 and still haven't even finished it once so I would definitely fail that show.

Today Emily tried to view it from her phone and "Restricted"... Anyone know how to resolve this??? The first qualifying comment for a mistake or typo wins a Cube and the first qualifying comment to post the time stamp to one of 2 Easter egg photos wins a Cube. A qualifying comment it one that followed the instructions namely putting (2x2 giveaway) at the end of the comment so I know that they are entered. I also ask that contestants subscribe to my channel and thumb up the video but I don't intend to check to see if they really subscribed. An Easter egg is s hidden photo that only shows for a split second. There are two of them in this video and usually at least one in all my videos.

Awesome! Glad it helped. Let me know your thoughts on the others. The Pyraminx tutorial is kind of long because I tried to go over every possible problem anyone could have but I probably should’ve made it shorter.

The algorithms are similar to the 3x3.

Yes many algorithms are exactly the same as the 3 x 3, some slightly modified due to not having the center slice and then we do use some new shortcut algorithms that are faster than 3 x 3 because we don’t have to account for the edges. I have that video shot I just got to edit and post it.
