You should show us your equipment and the afterwards of killing zinogre and finishing the hunt-a-thon at the end of the video, it would be helpful

I have a tiktok of my huntAthon tonight 😅 it was fun. Ended with 5star Legiana, not Zinogre sadly.

Zinogre can be solo'd with grade 7 sword and shield and elemental armor. It's close, but I've been able to do it.

Unfortunately I've been so unlucky with Legiana drops I've been unable to upgrade my ice weapons, after about 50+ kills I've only gotten one Legiana Plate (rarity 5)

@@guts9043 my legiana plate was from the double reward event, so it was two plates that I transform on 4 plates, and the other one was from the legiana event but that time i didt double the reward because i miss clicked

The hunt-a-thon diversity is great for daily quest and grinding. Too bad I still can't solo the Zinogre at the end.

Over at the Asia area such as Hong Kong and Taiwan, the name of the "Hunt-a-thon" is called "Large Scale Consecutive Hunting Event" (Players hunting monsters), and many player joke/dub it as "Large Scale Consecutive Dolphins/Whales Hunting Event" (Niantic hunting players' wallets) 😂

The fact you need a grade 8 or higher weapon to solo kill a 6 star monster in the hunts is kind of wild and badly designed. Because to get Grade 8 you need rarity 6 gems which means you need to have unlocked 8 star monsters or higher. It's incredibly unfriendly to new players, and I would've fixed this by giving a longer timer for the fights in a hunt if you're solo.

@@guts9043 Or rather It should have been half the HP for people soloing instead of as a group. If it was extending the timer instead it would give more time and chance for people to make mistakes and waste potions.

Almost at the end of the story for the 3rf time thru. Cant wait to be able to hunt 8 star monsters. Enjoy your content keep it up man. If only there were other around me to hunt with. That would be better. All the friends i grew up with live too far away now. It would be nice to be able to hunt with them across distance.

Thanks for all the support man! Yeah it kinda sucks playing this game alone when the devs expect you to play with others nearby players

this update huntathon is only favorable for city areas where there are plenty of players. in my case, where i am in an urban area, it's very challenging to finish the 5 monsters in the huntathon. I would be lucky to kill 3 monsters and I will again wait for another 3hrs.

I solo'd 7* with a Grade 8.4 Ice bow and boy o boy was it painful, one shots all around and you can't mess up (maybe one minor mistake is allowed - otherwise, it's a failed hunt due to time constraints). 8* is impossible, however.. not even sure if you can do it with Grade 9-10 since the hp is predicted to be at least 1.7-2x of the usual solo HP.

Oh man that sounds challenging! Thanks for sharing your experience man! If Niantic balanced the weapons right, Grade 9-10 should be able to handle 8* with the same challenge you faced solo-ing a 7* with a weapon with one grade higher.

Niantic needs to either knock hunt-a-thon monsters back to normal HP or allow hunting with people on your friends list. Everywhere I go in my area has zero nearby hunters. I can get through the other monsters easily enough, but time out every time on a six-star Zinogre. I shouldn't need a grade eight weapon and specialized gear to beat a six-star.

Nice gameplay. I also solo’d a 6 star zinogre.

Checked out a hunt a thon but didn't actually start it. 3 hour time out from doing any others. Wow. -_- You're supposed to party up for these but if everyones on 3h cooldowns it's just not happening outside big cities.

im also living in urban area and there are not MHN players around so im forced to play solo and like that with 7.5 weapons (bowguns that are even nerfed) i cant solo 6 star Zinogre, i was enjoing alot this game before huntaton patch and bowgun nerf and i was spending on gems for double drops but now im doing less dmg, monsters non stop roaring keeping me few seconds in place , wind from wings also stun me, eartquake when monster land near me all this to make me lose time, now i need to upgrade weapons to grade 8 but cant farm 8 star monsters because of lack of firepower even with weapon7.5, at this point bowguns seems not to be anymore good as before and to switch to another weapon type and farm all over again its almost undoable. i got in this position that because of last patch or i quit or change weapon type

They also suppressed gathering points who were too close from each other.

Girros g8 2/5

Hunt-a-thons killed my motivation… Need r5 mats for my equipment to bring it up for 7* monsters… they wich will drop with higher rates from hats when you kill a 6*… The decision to give the monsters a flat 70% more health, instead of using the group scaling, makes it impossible for me to kill even a 5* in time… Even the new changes to bring zinogre as a 5* are no solution for this… Sad that niantic isn’t change or wouldn’t be solving this issue…

I took him out with legiana gs grade 6 lvl 5. I had ice atk 4 and resentment 2 also 2 crit eye. These were my offensive skills.

He says grade 8 because he is using girros sns which has bad dps. Legiana SnS can do it at 6.5 ice 4.

i can kill most 5 stars solo but not a 6 star. i only have a couple grade 5 weapons. hope to god you have 1 or 2 weapons that match the weaknesses.

I think the overall game mode of this is ok, except the dick-move part that they made Overgrading to Grade 8 and beyond require Zinogre's own unique R6 materials that's only dropped (with very low chance as well) from the 8 Star Zinogre that cannot be solo (except those with Grade 10 weapons that either lives in Asian countries/cities with lots of players or those cheaters that spoof their GPS) The Zinogre R6 materials should have been made available from the 6 Star and 7 Star Zinogre as well, even if it was at a lower odds

This feature seems… unfinished to say the absolute least. So many problems, you’d think they’d have learned a thing or two from doing raids for years now in Pokémon go…

Also PSA, using paid hunt-a-thon tickets will reset your 3-hour free ticket timer… Niantic support confirmed this is intentional but I have no idea why it is.

Pokemon go raids hurt the longevity of the game. When player numbers start to fall, raid becomes a barrier to play the game. That's gonna happen with mhnow with its already smaller player base

They have this ideal of a game that they are trying to push without thinking of the reality of the situation. Putting the cart before the horse, so to speak.

Solo ? Easy be hr 90 and pure luck with drops from laggy, unlike me who's not had a tier 5 drop form laggy in ages
