Thanks mate. This is gonna be really useful for my 4s HRB battery. Had to solder some t-dean's a while ago, but TRX connectors look easier

Great video. Followed these instructions to solder new TRX connectors onto my Venom hardshell 2s lipos that had their universal connector system. I only use them on my Traxxas models so I figured it would be better to have real soldered connectors.

They don’t sell them you’ll have to steal them off a dead battery or something

Ok but how do you fix a broken wire off the plug housing? Can you pull the plates out of the plug to resolder

you may be able to tap out the contact using a small flathead screwdriver and a small hammer, but it's likely you just need a whole new connector.

Can you reuse tea as connectors by pushing them back out??

If they are not damaged you can, but make sure you do it one at a time still, to minimise the chance of short-circuiting the battery.

During this process, was any flux needed to help the solder stick to the connector blades? It might be the brand I have, but for whatever reason, solder is just balling up on the contacts and not flowing like it should. Wires came out perfect though.

@@mattreadle4566 I found some soldering flux on Amazon. I'm not sure if I could explain how to use it correctly, but it worked pretty good. You might be able to get some and maybe find an instructional video on how to use it. But I coated the blade with it and it bonded pretty well.

@@HobbiesDirect hun its 7.2v @ 350mA, a standard 9V battery outputs around 600mA and i bet you any money you have licked one at least once in your life. i build tube amps and deal with voltages in excess of +600VAC / VDC (depending on what side of the rectifier were on). 7.2V @ 350ma isnt even enough to give you a shock. A stand That said the stock charger depins very easily allowing you to re-use the connector to make a pigtail for a real battery charger.
