1. CUT CHAIN WHERE LINKS ARE BAD
2. CUT THE CHAIN FLUSH ON BOTH ENDS
3. MARK THE LINKS WITH MARKER
4. PUT LINKS TOGETHER
5. SOLDER

    Great job. I tried doing that too . But joints after cutting both ends before soldering didn’t met each other. Hence It was soldered but ends came apart minute after solder .

    some say that Hollow Rope chains cannot be repaired and not to buy them 🤣🤣🤣🤣logically full is better especially for the seller

    Just a question, why cut both links you only need to cut one link and the other one would go in there??

    coat the remains of the chain that should not be soldered with protective grease - white gouache, black or brown .... it protects very strongly from sticking and soldering when soldering

    Followed this video and have just successfully repaired my gold rope chain necklace HOWEVER I seem to have slight discolouration around the repair when the gold has lightened and lost it's yellowness, almost looking a bit silver. Any ideas why this might have happened? I've googled to no success. I don't think it would be noticeable to others but I can definitely see the colour change.

    Hi I had a question I recently had my rope chain repaired but when I got it back the part that hard ripped was really stiff it wasn’t like before how it would just flow like the rest of the chain when I grab it it like hard do you know if it goes away after a few days or should I see another jeweler ?

    What is waist of time those hollow Ropes are trash not even worth buying to begin with let alone pay yo have it repaired especially a 2mm one lmfao
