    I’m in the DFW area myself. Turned my spare bedroom/office into my cigar/whiskey room. Ended ip putting an inline exhaust that vents outside (roof) From my calculations it moves the air about 50 times an hour. When I smoke I usually just run the fan on the A/c or furnace on medium to avoid any smoke from going to the vents. When done I immediately get rid of the ash or just put the ashtray outside for cleaning later. Afterwards I run an ionizer for about :20. It’s been working great so far but would definitely like to add an A3 to the mix. Great Review !!! Thanks!!

    That is awesome, thanks for the tips and for sharing your expertise with regard to your smoking room. I think I may have to just end up doing an exhaust line too, air movement is definitely a big key it seems with making an enjoyable lounge area. Sounds like you got a good system going with the removal of ash immediately and running an ionizer. The A3 sounds like a nice addition to put in the room someday. Cheers from SA! 😎👍🍻

    Check the door gap, if you're sucking air in at the door (asauming you're pulling over 50 changes/hr you are) you're also pulling from the hvac vents. Should be good to run the AC with no worries.

    Setup my basement for smoking beside an A3 I added a Fantech exhaust system. The combination of both has worked perfect.

    Well thought out and I think you may just have to dial it in as you describe. I strongly believe that exhausting air/smoke is the best option for preventing fugitive smoke from leaving the room. If there is any way to add an inline fan I think will solve your return air issue as well. The exhaust fan will create negative pressure and should eliminate the need to block the return. It is also less expensive than another eRabbit. Thanks for crediting the Purifan clip appropriately. I think you are close to having this perfected.

    That is great information and a really helpful tip with regard to the negative air pressure with an exhaust fan! I think that is likely the best route so now I just have to convince the wife to allow me to take on that project, haha. I really appreciate your video and expertise! 😎👍🍻

    I have an audio listening room that I would also like to smoke in. For me it is most important not to get residu on my equipment AND not to let the smell escape the eoom (though I do have an outside wall 😊) I am very curious how much noise the fan solution makes. Tried it yet?

    Does cigar smoke contribute to the dirty air? or is it just dust and fomites?

  • @DavidSchwartzjr

    @DavidSchwartzjr

    6 ай бұрын

    Yes, the smoke itself can contribute to the dirty air both in the nicotine that it contains (can stain things) and has volatile chemicals in it. Part of the dirtiness of the filter in this review is since the shop has an fresh air intake (as well as customers opening the front door constantly), any dust/dirt that gets into the shop is also being filtered by the Rabbit Air.

Videos like these are meant to be informative and surely not for everyone. If it’s not your cup of tea, find something else that is.
