kinda makes sense cause it could also be done nollie

for all you noobs out there. Cab or full cab means fakie 360. Half cab means fakie 180. Came from Steve caballero. Therefore this is not called a fakie backside flip. Its called Halfcab flip

It means both. You could say fakie backside flip or half cab flip. But DONT say fakie half cab

Yeah pretty easy but lot of people does this trick ugly af without or very little pop, same with impossibles and most kickflip variations.

i love this trick, it's super easy to flip and catch. once you got these, flip a fakie bigflip, its pretty much the same shit just a little harder.

Gonna land this today. Tried it a few days ago and landed perfectly primo 😂😂

i never really liked this trick but watching u do them make me wanna practice to get mine hella clean.

I remember landing a fakie half cab flip my first try... think it was the third flip trick I learned (kickflip, varial flip, then fakie half cab flip.) Incredible feeling, to just think of it in your head, and actually do it as you envisioned it. Now I need to re-learn how to do it after so many years of not skating. Hell... need to re-learn how to kickflip even! I'm old as shit!

i rotate my shoulders and arms so that i can throw my momentum around to regular. i pop 90, and then flick 90 into what would then be a regular kickflip's catch. that's how i get super tweaked ones anyways.

your right, steve caballero invented cab ie; "cabalerro" which was in fakie stance and is always fakie. Nollie is different.

Awesome! I started back skating about a year ago after not skating for almost 10 years and I‘m also practising these again.

one thing about halfcab flips is you have to start rotating before you flick the board well thats how i got them

I always end up doing fakie big spin flips when i try this trick, what am I doing wrong?

Technically Half cab is generally backside, where I skate we call frontside fakie front or nollie front.

frontside and backside are reversed in fakie because a fakie front side flip is turning backwards but it's the same trick as a frontside flip going forwards, the same applies to this trick its a backside flip going fakie

your wrong, he turning forward, not backwards. yes they are reversed when its fakie, but back side is when you turn back wards. and in this case he is turning frontwards, even though it feels like a backside? get it? same motion, but hes turning frontward when in fakie.

if you knew anything about skateboarding, the history of the caballerial, or the composition of a halfcab flip you would understand.

this is cool, but doing it back side looks fucking sick, especially if you get it down a trans plant, or over a handrail.

No, it’s redundant to say Fakie half cab. A half cab and a Caballarial are done Fakie and only Fakie. You’ll hear people say Nollie half cab and Nollie Cab, but Steve himself (who invented the Caballarial, Tony invented the Half Cab) has been on record saying it’s only a Fakie trick. It was originally always backside as well. But again people bastardize the term and say frontside half cab etc... people still know what your talking about, but it’s technically not correct.
