Awesome! I'm also sometimes using the side chain compression with the lead sound itself. For example, you can use with reverb effect. On this reverb wet channel, you use the side chain compression from the sound itself, so it will release the reverb only at the end of the sound. You find this effect a lot in the Future Rave style. I love this effect on big bass

You can do it no problem. It works nice on hi-hat c, but be subtle on the leads

Super pédagogique comme d'hab, bien joué ! J'aurais peut être fait également un focus sur l'EQ du sidechain qui permet d'être plus précis et plus clean en choisissant la fréquence du kick sur laquelle on veut agir. Top le sidechain entre le Lead et le Pad aussi, je n'y avais pas pensé (généralement on fait tjrs ça avec le kick en main source). J'utilise trackspacer pour ça mais ta technique est cool aussi !

Salut ! Même si je maîtrise plutot correctement le "sidechaining" c'est toujours interessant de voir comment procèdent les autres, surtout un producteur de qualité comme toi. Peut-être que pour des raison de "temps" tu n'as pas voulu en parler mais je trouve l'option "EQ" hyper importante dans le sidechaining surtout pour ceux qui font de la techno ou utilisent des kicks longs. Régler l'entrée au dessus de 200hz permet d'avoir un ducking plus rapide ;) (à régler selon le gout) Pour ce qui est de sidechain ton pad avec le lead, c'est une excellente technique pour mettre en avant ton lead. Perso j'utilise plutot le multiband pour ça ;) Par curiosité, si tu écoutes Satisfaction Benassi (Isak Original Edit) (Nanard ultra connu) il sidechain absolument TOUT (sauf low end kick) avec sa bass lead ! C'est assez étrange mais ça donne une dynamique incroyable ! A bientot :)

J'utilise très peu l'option EQ qui effectivement peut être utile dans certains cas de figure, mais "inutile" la plupart du temps. Je joue essentiellement avec l'attaque et la release pour peaufiner le réglage de mon sidechain quand c'est nécessaire.

Yep, that's often a good idea to do this 👍 But stay subtle, 1 or 2dB of gain reduction is enough (especially on pads)
You don't ever use the eq on the compressor to leave some frequencies present?

The EQ on the Compressor is here to select the range of frequencies from the target channel on which the sidechain will react to compress. I hope this is clear... 😅
Is it necessary to use the Glue compressor after using the sidechain? Or will it be too compressed?

Not necessary at all. What is the reason why you want to put a Glue Compressor after ?
