Can you also demonstrate how to shorten the recent self rising cordless mini blinds? 👍👍

To shorten cordless blinds do NOT cut the pulley cords they are under tension cut only the ladders the same way as in this video…remove one button at a time with the pulley cords still intact just enough to be able to push the cut ladders in the holes … the pulley cords will adjust themselves as far as length after pushing the cut ladders into the holes then just help the plastic button go back into place

Well done! You covered details that some other videos didn't. I'm doing this today and your video gave me a bit more confidence that I'll get this done the first time.

If your bottom rail doesn't rest easy on your window seal, try pre-tying your ladder strings and slide your bottom rail through, allow it to rest there while you work! I hope this helps!

When I open bottom clips and cut down knot, tension string rolls up and now I no longer have middle thread 😢

This doesn’t work on blinds that are under tension😉

I tried this and it was a disaster as mine also had cordless retraction. The cords when cut disappeared into the top never to be seen again 😢

Oh no that’s not good, was there tension on your blind? 🤷‍♀️

@@WhatTheFoxSherriFox no there are 2 style of blinds. One style is open close for the slats the style I have also has a retract feature that always has tension on the cords. When cut they either must be held or only cut one and retie one side at at time. Took 3 hours to fish the string back through the reel and all the slats.
