IMO TIMES is the total number of flashes while frequency is the times per second. So 8 times at 4Hz is 8 flashes over 2 seconds in total. That's how I understand it from the video. Sorry if that's wrong. My flashes are old and can't do it.

That's actually right! However it gets messy when you start working with odd numbers on that case and setting the correct shutter speed. It's a math class that I probability skipt 🙈. But anyway, people are more than welcome to experiment and see what is possible. But just for the videos sake (and mine 😁) I tried to keep simple!
