I have heard you state to use one brush for black shoes and another for lighter colors. What line do you draw for black versus the other colors? For example, would you use the black brush with a burgundy color and what about navy blue? I am not trying to split hairs here. I am just trying not to screw up the color on my shoes/boots. Thanks.

Great question! Black brush also includes blues purples greens. Have a brush for neutral only. brown brush can include tans, reds, all shades of brown. you can have a brush for each color if you really want but ive found its simply not needed. also if you deal with any white shoes where youre applying white color creams be sure to use a separate brush.
