Sorry, old comment, but how did that go? I've been considering going the other way, from electric to a double edge razor.
@Alex-co5co
Жыл бұрын
@@alexanderm7270 you will get smoother result with a double razor (maybe, depending on the beard growth, with electric shaver, after the shave, your beard remained to the length of a few hours/maybe 1 day beard growth after the shave with a razor) Not a big difference unless you are required to have that clean look or you want to have it. For me, a bit shadow beard is reasonable, considering I am no longer stressed of how hard I press the blade, risking cuts or burns and I never had a cut or irritation ever since I use electric razor

I started shaving with an electric razor but gave it up within the year except if I needed to urgently shave for something and didn't have time for a wet shave, it always burned and never gave a close shave but I bought a Philip's razor can shave wet and dry during covid and will try it dry for the first time tonight and wet the next time I shave as I grew a beard shortly after getting it. Shaved it off about 2 weeks ago with a double edged blade great job and shave with that now gives a great shave and as quick and easy as a catrage razor and a better shave no irritation what so ever and as smooth as a babies rear end.
I just got my first electric shaver. Perfect timing!

Thanks for the tips! I like your style. So I recently started a skincare routine. So do I need an "after shave" moisturizer or I can get away with using a regular facial moisturizer after shaving? Lol soo much products...
@Dirty_Bear22
4 жыл бұрын
Netanel if you are using an electric shaver and don’t experience any redness or bumps you should be able to just follow up with a moisturizer. Foils on electric shavers don’t irritate the skin as much as using a regular blade, though the friction from the foil could still irritate sensitive skin In such case one could apply non alcohol based aftershave before their moisturizer. Using a mild exfoliant and a good pre shave oil along with a shave cream can drastically cut down on skin irritation during shaving. They also make lotions specifically designed for electronic shavers that lubricate the skin and stand up hairs, electric shave lotion replaces both pre shave oil and shaving cream and should only be used with electric shavers.
How hard do you press down on the shaver while shaving?
Good Vid :-) Thanks :-)
This seems far more like a product placement ad for the Braun model you’re spending time singing the praises of rather than actual good electric shaving advice buddy.

I had this braun trimmer that had a shaver as an additional attatchment, for like 5 years I used that and it ALWAYS gave me the most perfect beard shaping until a few weeks ago it broke and I was forced to buy a moser shaver which... gives my neck the worst redness possible and gave me a few bumps too. Hopefully my skin gets used to it haha.

Try to attack it using different angles, also try to use a different electric shaver like a Remington, i've got a cheaper one called Remington My Groom with double foils that beats the Braun in my experience, keep in mind i use a Braun Waterflex which is similar to Series 5. The problem with it is that it never shaves as close as my other two electric razors(Remington and Smate). These two shavers have costed me only half of the Braun but i still manage to get a closer shave with them.

If your razor has the sideburn clippers then I suggest using those to clean up the neck hairs. Works like a charm. Just go slow and smooth. Really easy to burn the hell out of your neck using those.

The best shave is from the good old fashioned double edged razors you should be able get one in your supermarket
dumb question but so far i only have facial hair on my chin area how long does it take for the facial hair to expand?
@LS8563

Not at all. You mean to cover the rest of your face? Totally depends on genetics. Some people have full beards within a couple years of their first hairs, and some never get a full beard. It took me about 4 years from my first chin hairs to have something remotely beard like. Best advice, be patient and work with your strengths. If you’ve got chin hair maybe try a goatee?

Ahh, then they are either vellus or transitional hairs. If you can actually see them, and they are darker/ longer than your “peach fuzz” then they are likely transitioning into terminal beard hairs. Totally normal, I’ve still got plenty of hairs transitioning in my beard! Hope that helps 😁

@@szucsadam0527 I agree with the other commenter, I think it's just an old crummy shaver. I have one too and have that exact same problem. My neck is always spotted with hairs that are missed no matter how many times I go over them. Since that's the only electric shaver I've ever owned, I'm not sure if it's a problem with this model or electric shavers in general. Concern over having the same problem is actually what's kept me from buying a newer one.
@redragongaming
2 жыл бұрын
Switch to Remington and prepare to be amazed, your hairs on your neck would be shaved properly. Braun sucks at getting a closer shave, my Braun Waterflex can't compete with an inferior Remington MyGroom which is laughable, another great shaver that is on my second choice is a Smate ST-W382. The only downside of the Remington is that it gives a little irritation but with the Smate i never get that.

Mine is just not shaving me
I have just bought a Braun shaver made in Germany. And my beard is 2 or 3 days old. It won't shave. Like at all. The cheeks aren't precise at all, and at my neck where I have most of my beard wouldn't get shaved. Tried all directions, wet and dry. It just doesn't shave.
