Lets take a look at shading a horse. The more time you put into your pencil drawings, the better it will look.
Also listen as I talk your ear off about the importance of finding a mentor and asking questions.

+poison finger I am so glad you enjoy the channel! Thanks for drawing along and hope it helps your hand therapy! :) Blessings
Being an ex-horse rider (lover) who is now grounded through injury, your work is helping me to not only find a new passion but manage my pain and help to also see horses in a new light. Thank you so much for this tut it has helped me examine the muscle/bone structure more carefully. At least I now know why I was forced to draw a bowl of fruit all those years ago.
Really great video! I remember art school, a lot of the teachers gave us project after project with little to no information. I was lucky enough to have two that stood out and spent real time with us. I learned more from those two in a short time then all the years with my other ones.
Hi Valerie! This video is really great! Some years ago, I also had trouble with my art teatchers. But now, I have improved so much and so fast The past year! And much of it is because of them! They even told me that they want to help me find an even better place to learn! Also, I might Call you my mentor! You are so great, and I also learn from just watching your videos! Often I won't draw with you, but just sit and watch your videos! I'm so happy that you are here to help us! Keep on doing The great work!
What a wonderful teacher you are! I have decided to learn how to draw horses; in particular, my own horse and my friends' horses. The last time I really drew anything was over thirty years ago when I was in grade school, but I am determined to learn. I really appreciate your insights on developing oneself as an artist and finding a mentor. I can't wait to get started and also watch your other videos. Thank you for the inspiration and tutelage!
It looks so real!!!!!!
Usually when i'm working on a projekt and i need help to something like a leg on a horse or a tail on a dragon i take one more look at your videos to remember or figure it out. If i can't figure it out after seing your videos i go n the webside Howrse because theres a forum where you can share your art and get good/helping criticism on your art and get better. I go there because there's some amazing artist in there and they are really good to help.

I do exactly the same! It's like having a teacher there 24/7
Yes, the explanation really helps me to learn and understand how to draw with more detail. I usually have a really hard time to draw and shade horses but this video helped so much.

Thank you. I was trying over and over again drawing a jumping horse but they all failed... Then I came across you. I watched your video and tried to do it and I finally did!!!! My horse looks pretty good cause I've been drawing horses for a while. I also watched your horse eye video and that helped alot😊😊 thank you for the help😍😍❤️😍😍🎀💋
You gave alot of value. I too had the same difficulty with art teachers lol i didnt want to draw any stupid fruit or other stupid silly stuff....i too wanted to know what i was supposed to be looking for. The why?? And i also looked at animators and artists.. Aaron Blaise is awsome...he too worked for Disney.
When you said find a mentor I immediately thought of you

Can u do a drawing with colored pencils of a tree but with explaining how do to the leaves
I was the same way with art classes. And literature classes. There are so many things I learn better outside of the normal K-12 school system. Some things were taught better in college. Some are taught better in books that I can read in my free time. Some are taught better on KZread. There was something about "Just do this" from school that made even potentially good lessons of otherwise interesting topics into "busy work" and cringe worthy topics. I need to either have the big picture explained or allowed to figure things out on my own.
I love these tutorials:)! I drew the horse and I wanted it to look like my horse but I was having a hard time because he is completely black. A tutorial on shading something black would be great:)
You have to watch the making of spirit it's amazing. Half the movie was hand painted..
THANK TOU SO MUCH!!!!
Lefties reunited!!!! :D
It's me (drawing the spirits) could you do a tutorial on horse liberty if you don't know what it is you can look it up on KZread
