The pattern comes with two templates that simply trace and cut out. No need to worry about measurements. sewingillustration.com/products/pretty-airpods-cases

Give Measurements
I think I prefer buying one. A lot of work and very tiny.
This cover will itself give the airpods scratch . It would not protect your airpods You can just give your airpods good look but it will not protect airpods.
