That looks really cool. For the lining, if you left one of the (lining) bottom corners unsewn, you could put the lining & Jeans Box RS together, sew it on the machine, then turn it through the bottom corner. Then all you have to hand-stitch would be the bottom lining corner.

Where do the handles go if you do it that way? It would be somewhat difficult to stitch over the belt loops and the handles. ❤

I love, Love, LOVE this idea! It's BRILLIANT, (congrats to you) thrifty, fun and a great way to recycle. Would you please tell me what is, and where does one get: "polyester sheet 350 gm"? I live in the USA and we have materials for stiffening bags and such, but I'm not familiar with this and don't know how 350gm compares to millimeters in terms of weight or thickness. I'd be very grateful for your help. p.s. I offer this with all good will and respect from sewist to sewist: I've been sewing for over 60 years and have some experience in working with heavy-duty materials. If you get a good, solid, all-metal vintage machine with at least a 1.0 amp motor, (especially one with a dual-belt system), it would sew through the thicker materials just as easily for you and more importantly, would have less impact on your modern machine. Plus it's WAY less expensive than an industrial unit. At the top of the bag, you would be able to trim down the stiffening materials about a 1/8" then sew on the lining with the machine (unless you prefer hand-sewing of course). I'm sure your machine is great and you love it, but it has plastic gears which will not stand up to this sort of use over time. The gears will give out after too much "heavyweight" sewing. I learned all of this the hard way some years ago. Vintage machines like Singers and Kenmores are available all over the world and very good ones can be bought inexpensively if one just keeps looking. I have a 67-year old straight-stitch Kenmore, an ugly beast, but it will go through 8 layers of denim as though it were butter. Keep it oiled and lubricated; it will never give out on you and the only things you'll most likely ever need to replace are needles and belts - very easy to do on older machines. You'll be able to sew all kinds of heavy-duty items. Just my two cents and I hope you accept it in the spirit it's given. Please keep up with your MARVELOUS videos! I may be old, but I can still learn new ideas and techniques from younger sewists. Thank you very much for this one!

But I can tell you the shop I buy regularly here. facebook.com/sparepartdd I bought it from many stores. may remember the shop wrong But in this shop I buy regularly. Since I only have an automatic sewing machine. So I rarely sew thick pieces. Recently, I especially like to sew jeans. So I use it heavily. Usually the sewing is not very thick. I learned to sew by myself for about 5 years. I'm not good at sewing. But try to learn when i have free time from routine work. I like it so I try hard. I'm glad you honored, talked, gave me advice. Es ist eine wirkliche schöne Aufbewahrung! Doch diese Henkel werde ich aus dem Saum der Hosenbeine machen. Damit ich noch mehr Behälter machen kann. Ohne Taschen oder evt. Welche draufgenäht. Good tutorial! I think it’s great to make something out of old, worn out jeans, but most of these videos look like perfectly intact jeans! Jeans take a huge amount of resources to manufacture. I think they should be worn until they are unusable- THEN make stuff!

Hello, if we use old jeans that are dirty, decayed, it may not be suitable for making baskets or bags or various DIY projects. I have to consider aesthetics and functionality.And I also hope that people who DIY old jeans because they don't think they will use those jeans anymore. My boyfriend dumped me. He left a few pairs of jeans here. I’d rather use them for something useful. If I donated them, who knows if they would just be thrown away?
