How to sew down a folded neckline
This tutorial shows how to sew down a folded neckline that has been picked up and then worked. The method shown creates a strong, flexible, flat, and tidy seam on the inside of the sweater. The sweater used to demonstrate this technique is my Silver Birch sweater. The pattern will be released later in 2022. Sign up for my newsletter via the link below if you don't want to miss it!

I'm a total beginner but your instructions make great sense to me.
Gorgeous! I just watched 10 different folded collar bind-off videos, and this was by far the clearest one.
Looks nice… I prefer to knit mine in from the beginning.
Thank you Jessica. That was very helpful.
Excellent tutorial! I am learning so much from you! Thank you!
Fantastic tutorial, you are a natural and wonderful teacher, thank you so much!
Thank you, this was incredibly helpful. 🙂
Jessica thank you for this video. You are a great teacher with a clear explanation and filmed tutorial. Greetings from the Netherlands. Erna
Would you increase the number of stitches from pick-up to cast off when knitting a crew neck sweater. If so, what percentage is required to make sure the collar lays flat? Thanks
Is that a rib 1x1 neck band
Is this a whip stitch?
Can you explain how you sew down a folded neckline if it wasn't picked up in the first place (i.e. you've knit a double-length ribbed collar and continued on to complete a top-down sweater) but needs to be sewn in at the end. The pattern said I could do either so I left it to the end but now am confused about how to sew it.

I don’t have a video on how to sew one of those down. I would recommend emailing the designer and asking if she has any resources to help with that part.
