I place cuts in with curves, so it will open up and be flat against the other piece. Those who have done it understant what I mean.

Hi, I'm just beginning this quilt from the kit I purchased. Was wondering how many tutorials there are on the technique. So far, I've found three. Thanks!

We have three tutorials. One on paperless paper piecing one and so in curves and the last one on the borders. The first technique video should get you through all of your blocks. Good luck happy Sewing.

Do you have any hints for keeping the ink from the from paper transferring to the fabric and ironing board cover when you are pressing?

Great question. Ink will transfer if using a regular pen and freezer paper. You can use a muslin press cloth to protect those surfaces so the ink transfers only onto your muslin, which you will then either wash and repurpose or discard. If you use printable freezer paper sheets or printable foundation sheets made for quilting, I have had great success and the ink doesn’t transfer. Good luck.

Does anyone sew without paper piecing?! This was never even an option when I was learning as a kid. 🙈🤷‍♀️

Yes it is a different technique isn’t it? You can achieve really accurate points and angles with paper piecing.
