How to sew a zippered pouch using vinyl

Today we're making a zippered pouch using Jelly Vinyl (though you can use whatever vinyl you like). A zippered pouch is a fun and easy sewing project, and when there is no lining, it just takes a few supplies.
I'm using Jelly Vinyl from Sew Hungry Hippie.

A little trick if you want to sew "sticky vinyl" with out a teflon foot. Put regular scotch tape on he bottom of the foot. Cut out the spaces of course, but that helps remendously

Masking tape will also work. ❤️
That is adorable! And I already know that I will be swearing when I try to get those corners to line up. 😂 Being prepared for that will make it easier 🤣

I can’t sew a zip on a bag without using double sided seam tape. I buy that stuff in bulk! 😂

Oh my gosh, I have three upcoming baby showers and I am going to make these bags for everyone. How perfect is this to stick in a diaper bag?! Also, you just taught me that I can make rectangular box bag corners. I’ve made a lot of bags and never considered that option. Thanks so much for the great tutorial!

The Boxed corners aren't rectangular, they're just accounting for there being no seam allowance along the bottom of the bag. ❤️
I wonder if hitting the vinyl with a couple of seconds with a hair dryer will help make it easier to turn? Just a thought. Love this idea.
