    This is the absolute BEST video for sewing the 3D mask. This is the method I use. I add the nose piece and a filter layer of antimicrobial polypropylene before turning right side out. Great job on the video!

    First of all I want to say that you are the first one that I have seen cut the corners on the inside on your 3d mask. I have seen some others and no one has done that. Your pattern uses minimal cutting, measuring and stitching. I can't wait to make some new masks with these instructions. Thank you for the wonderful pattern.

    Just finished making my 1st 3D mask based on your tutorial, and I couldn't believe how easy this was!! Took me maybe 30 min start to finish, no cumbersome templates, and minimal pinning! 😃 Grrr.. I wish I'd been sewing this kind instead for the past 8 months.. 😞 I have a 6 mask order waiting to be filled, and THIS is how I'm making them from now on! I cannot thank you enough for sharing your skills, and wonderful tutorial! ❤ 😊😘 I have a new zest for mask making now!! 👍

    What happened after washing? Does it hold it shape or do you have to press it every time you wash it do you want to hold a peek in the front how does that work since you’re not stitching a seam in the front or anything like that would it be good to make a real thin stitch straight down the front upon finishing as a finishing touch I just wonder about that

  • @LadyLeeBird

    @LadyLeeBird

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@michellebrown7449 thanks for asking! yes, just running a quick iron over the front again to set the crease works fine, but may be a chore to some? Running a thin stitch down the front seams might work, but you may lose some of the space inside for your mouth and nose? Not a lot, (I have found this style to be much roomier inside, and doesn't sit against my mouth, which was a huge selling point for me with these) but perhaps throwing a few hand stitches, for better space control, might be the best option. I might just play around with that, and see what the results are, since ironing isn't always an option after wash for some. Hope I helped answer your questions 😊

    I have to agree with everyone else. This is an amazing tutorial. So simple and so clear. I'm a novice when it comes to sewing and I made this mask. It fits beautifully on my small face. It looks like a professional made it. I made a few modifications to the instructions. Instead of overstitching after turning the mask right side out, I ended up hand sewing the opening using a ladder stitch so that the stitches are hidden. I also added a third layer of fabric for extra protection. Turned out great. It's the most comfortable mask I've worn so far.
