when I sewed the shirt to the skirt, somehow the elastic stayed stretched out and did not shrivel back together. can you give me advice on what i might have done wrong? thanks.

What if I can't stretch the shirt? I made a skirt that's double of my waist and put in a elastic band so it fits my waist, the shirt is just my waist , not double size of it, can I still sew that together?

can i use a button up?
